Personally, I don't think friendly fire should be on since it just ends up buffing railfans ... and I don't think railfans need any buffs as they already tend to dominate.

unfortunately that's not possible, but would be funny minelayers can be good, i recently made a bit of a mistake in trying to chase right after one. needless to say, i was not doing it for long

I think it would be best to have both firendly fire on and friendly fire off for different games that way there is a really good mix of ships between videos, however you should let the players know before the battle so they can choose which ships to bring

FF wouldnt be an issue if this game would check line of fire... but it is totaly programed so ppl can slam into anything in mind. Sadly it promotes boring block ships...

I dont really like friendly fire... But to me the more annoying thing is how many of these battles end up with the 2 ships just holding each other.

that's an issue with the skill level of most of the players here, at higher levels you have things like kites, avoiders and orbiters which really try to get away from others

The game enjoys crashing a considerable amount with large ships. A few days ago we tried a match with unlimited budget, and the internet connection and the sheer size of the ships crashed all 4 people’s games

yes, the part that fires is considered 'above' the ship, so even tho the shots go over your own ship if a deck gun is behind another and the line of fire crosses the round will hit the one in front. With friendly fire off, this means wasted damage. With friendly fire on, you blow yourself up. also as others mentioned, it will be slower than other ships

slower and less mobile, short range, low projectile speed, innacurate. With friendly fire on you also risk a self-detonation

I feel like deck cannon friendly fire is primarily a skill issue. It shouldn't be too difficult to set up weapon groups so you can tell the guns in back to hold fire so they don't shoot each other when the ship is angled weird. It's just a matter of actually doing it.

I said it before and ill say it again. There are only 3 designs, rail spinner, rail fanner, and massive cannon brick. Please stop with the free for all, 2 teams max, you are missing every fight. if they dont' want a team make it a 1v1 . but 7 FFA? you miss all the fights. 2v2 3v3 1v1 1v2 2v3 teams, too easy.

missile orbiters, laser orbiters, laser avoiders, nuke barges, nuke spinners, nuke orbiters are all very viable ships and also, there's not just 1 type of railfan, you've got kites, barges, and orbiters

All the crying about the effectiveness of railfans doesn't change that deck gun bricks are just dumb and boring. Build and pilot your ships better.
