It was a super awesome ship design! Lose some thrust to make the individual ships a bit more durable and you have something horrifyingly deadly!

@@Hust91 If not for this much thrust and this little weight the ship would be terrifically slow. This thing relies heavily on hit-and-run tactics, with coming in, unloading the 300+ individual missile alphastrike volley and quickly disengaging before the enemy can do anything, really. Fails to Railfans and heavily protected rammers (As seen with us barely managing to scratch Blaze's ship), but there's a surprisingly high amount of high end competitive pvp ships that this semi-casual offmeta ship can outright butcher.

@@NickAndriadze Oh I didn't mean by much - but it seems like it could be much more durable if it was just a teeeensy bit slower and a teeeensy bit more durable. The ability to take glancing blows, or some redundancy between the missile launching compartments might help a lot, just to stop chain reactions from happening as soon as something breathes on it wrong. Few kites can stay so thoroughly out of range that they never get even scratched, so being able to take at least a scratch is pretty important. You saw how long it survived this one while it had lost 2/3rds of its thrust, so I think there's room. Or sacrifice some of the missile launchers for redundancy or shielding, many of the inner launchers near the center of the cross seem to be mostly getting wasted, no?

@@Hust91 I actually have an older version with way worse thrust setup but some Point Defence which barely ever helped. I think there's room for some huge shields though, thanks for feedback :'>

That ship is my favorite ship I've seen yet, I love the commitment to go full thrust and full damage, and the tow hook just made it that much better. Also maybe some large shields, not many, could make it surprisingly stronger

It's funny to me how Nick and Snow don't believe in armor at all, after last months tournament it's like they've decided against it.

Yeah I think they would have done a lot better if the driving ship didn't have weapons and instead loaded up on armor and shields. The ship being towed is modular enough that it doesn't need anything other than guns, but the tow ship should focus on speed, point defense, and blocking projectiles for the missile platform.

@@nekrataali Or both vessels could've been redundant battle ships, with plenty of command points, and armor between reactors. I think people underestimate intra-ship armor to prevent chain reactions.

You genuinely have no idea how hard it is to pilot a ship whilst a gigantic 2500+ ton body is hanging limp in the back destabilizing you.

Whilst they're really interesting designs, I kinda dislike the docking ships, for the reason that they're basically exploits. They allow you to have thrusters with no space gap and build ships more compact than they should be. Hopefully when the official docking block is added to the game, we can have docking ships without them being cheat methods.
