Weak phalanxes. There were several opportunities for “pincer” maneuvers. Not nearly enough trebuchets. Should’ve had several more archers and artillery. The cavalry was incorrectly utilized. Generals Crassus and Ceasar would’ve been seriously disappointed.

A man rushes into the Castle screaming that bears have talked! That they want to kill all humans for destroying their forrest. A king laughet at him and told this guards to throw him out. A couple days later the King orderd to chop a large part of the forrest in order to make him a fleet. After tge works started a news broke out that couple of bears broke into a village near buy and killed everyone in it. When a king heard that he couldnt believe it. Go into forest and find a main bear, when bear spoke to him he was in shock, but he brought himself back fast and asked the bear what he wants. The bear said that he needs to leave their forest, they had a fight and a king angry left. A couple of years have passed and a bears and humans are in war since. The bears destroyed all the villages near by and headed to the capital, the king marched in advance and make his final stand! Then it begun... 0:00

Game doesn't do what bears would do. They would charge in like a Calvary, and human beings can't repel them back. First regiment line would be broke with patches of soldiers surrounded by bears. Calvary will be decimated to. 1. javelin a 500lb animal will launch you off your horse, 2 horses will not listen to you in certain situations. A bear can snap bones in horses legs. It's literally feeding the bear army a feast. Hopefully they will need to take a nap, after the feast.

@@williamherd7251 No, bears have great strength for ripping, tearing, slashing, or even digging. Their charging power is limited. You have them confused with bulls, rhinos, and elephants. Bears have too much fat which spreads out the impact of a charge. Also the soldiers were backing each other greatly increasing their strength. The bears would not combine their charging force as that would take too much coordination and intelligence.

Deal Hunter wrong. Bears can run double the speed of all these animals you mentioned and are 10x more violent and aggressive. They also have much better stamina than these other animals. A bear can run 20 mph for miles. All it takes is for a full grown bear to turn the aggression up all the way, no human stands a chance.

Infantry is supposed to be spaced apart in either checkered square/rectangle units OR my favorite formation, a WW pattern I once heard called, the Dragon's Teeth. (Strongest units on the frontal points. Works best with high morale & berserker quality units, like Orcs/Minotaurs/Juggernauts) Should have had calvary attacking the weakest flank from the side. Directly behind is suicide if they have enough numbers in the middle for the rest to turn around & defend the rear. Catapults are supposed to be as far back as possible for maximum range, only lightly defended with either archers (fodder) or a single roving calvary unit for intercepting a flank.

Bears don't die even after they got hit by a mangonel , we can see same thing when they fighting gold knights they keep get back up. Also bears aren't that powerful, they can't crop out against a fully armored sword and shielded man. They also don't know fighting in a group like that but let's assume they do. Still they can't win like we see it here. They would lose.

2:07 The bears have done the humans the favour of attacking in a long, narrow and disorderly column. Any general worth his salt would deploy one of the back lines to wheel around and hit them in the flank while they were so disorganized. Also why the wedge formation? The point of the wedge is a major weakpoint that can be attacked from both sides at once. Moreover, this line is too static. The humans are just patiently standing up and waiting to be killed. Also if bears attacked a line like this, they would utterly rampage through it. The weight and power is on their side. I'm way over analysing a joke video aren't I?

If I recall correctly when I use to play the game, you can arrange a group of units (bears, spearman etc.) At a angle, then place another at a different angle which I presume was done in this case to give a spearhead defensive position.
