The song wasn't a deus ex machina. Something that has been foreshadowed for an entire season to be entwined with destiny cannot be considered such. A deus ex machina is something that comes completely out of left field to solve all problems;something without any form of foreshadowing. The Catalyst from ME3 for instance. Dear god was that ending a literary disaster.
