I used to go to the BattleTech Center in Chicago with a few friends. When BattleTech came to Indianapolis in the form of Virtual World, I would play there almost every other weekend. Now I get my BattleTech fix (in the Tesla Pods) at GenCon every year.

As a native of Rockford (Mars, obviously) this line made me so excited as a kid.

I recently converted a guest bedroom at my house to a MechBay and entertain the grandkids with my new mech simulator. (mwomercs.com/forums/topic/49609-fully-enclosed-mech-simulator/) THIS is exactly the kind of "barker" video I've been looking for to play on the TV's in the room. Like Gary Sinise's video at the Mission:Space ride at Epcot! AWESOME!! THANKS!

i riled up some laughter at that Epcot ride briefing with some Forrest Gump impersonations of "you ain't got no legs, Lieutenant Dan" haha

It's sad that I was only three when this was released. I really wish I could have been part of it.

It's fun seeing this. after hearing someone involved, talking on twitch HyperRPG during the ingame news segment of Death From Above. Remember Belushi randomly saying "Yes" when they asked him to do this

I've seen a couple of battletech pods showing up at conventions (The last one I visited being there was Acen) and it's impressive to say the least. I don't recall the specific brand of battletech pods that were being used. It was about 12-16 pods in a single room with an operator at his table. It's a shame they don't market these pods for commercial sale but seeing how complex they are to operate (actually requires a human operator and multiple players) I could kinda see why.

I really wish this would make a comeback on the old rule set and not the new bullet sponge crap that's out now. If a mech takes two AC20's to the arm it should at LEAST go internal not just change to a slightly different shade on the armor diagram FFS. Always wanted to hit these things so bad back in the day but was still just a young dude with no bucks. Love the game and would have had a blast. Especially if you could do any custom configs...omg yes...stock mechs are garbage! :P
