Me too. Total BS behaviour with little historic reference to Clan GH or FreeRas history. Everything works perfect for one side: Clan Wolf... Great storytelling looks different.

I’m looking forward to more Clan Goliath Scorpion content. I love their style on everything. Like in the Wars of Reaving though, I am now worried again if they will survive their next big fight (probably with Star Adder and the other Home Clans).
@BlandRoamer
@BlandRoamer 9 ай бұрын
I wouldn't be too worried. The Scorpions have spent the years since the Reaving learning, growing, incorporating new bloodlines and technologies. The Home Clans lost enormous brain power, without the influx of new blood the Scorpions got from Nueva Castile and the Hanseatic League and also Ice Hellion. The innovation gap is *probably* pretty darn wide; after all, the Hansa themselves already did for a Star Adder probe and that was 70ish years ago. Granted, nobody knows what the Home Clans have been up to, but my money is on "ossification." As far as they're concerned, they're the last of the pure Clans, all others tainted by the Inner Sphere beyond salvation. There's probably some hothead trying to whip that up into a True Crusade, but all the policy-makers are probably hellbent on maintaining the no-contact status quo and rebuilding what they know has worked *in the past* to deal with what they see as corruption within the Clans. They don't really have a need to innovate, and they don't have the Scientists left to do anything *but* rebuild even if they Did feel the need to research and test new theories and designs....well, Coyote might, but again, why would they?

SPOILERS Great content. What I really want to know is that by 3151, what does the AFFS even have left? Era Report 3145 already had them on the ropes. I can't imagine what they are now, having to struggle to even do anything. They are struggling against Periphery powers. They lost a ton of troops to Palmyra 10 years prior. And now looking at a possible civil war, because for some reason, the nobles completely forgave Erik for losing New Syrtis and Robinson and New Avalon, and the disaster at Palmyra. In spite of these events all being barely 10 years prior. I feel like the Fed Suns intrigue could be far better written if they canned Erik (he's part of the previous leadership that caused all the disasters anyhow), had either New Syrtis or Robinson stand with one of the other Haseks or Sandovals in charge, or have them be the ones that retook the world without Julian's help. That way they can build up on cred. Unfortunately, the way it was written was needed to condense the timeline to lead to the ilClan, since the AFFS was way to gutted post-Palmyra. Julian being a sudden incompetent and angry boob that just can't win since New Syrtis feels like forced drama IMO.
@HPGBlackout

Why even bring up the Haseks or Sandovals, let's go really deep into the Fed Suns lore and pull out a member of the Rostov family for First Prince!
@AlphaAurora

@@HPGBlackout Good idea, a lot of the bloodlines are on literal last heirs. I noticed that a LOT of IS leaders are 40+ years old, unmarried, and without even a bastard to boot. I brought up the Sandovals, since CGL seems to want us to like ESG, even though there's little in-universe reason to go for him, other than his fiat (IMO) string of victories. ESG simply absorbed the fiat from Julian IMO.

So. Interesting. You are the only person I know who is covering the 32nd century in this level of detail. From listening to the Illclan, Tamar and now this video it seems as though you are summarizing the political situation in a factual manner. Which is great. Like I said, I don't know of anyone else who is doing this. Have you considered adding your own personal analysis to the recitation of facts? It would tie things together nicely. p.s. Could you do the Wars of Reaving?

Imagine abandoning your traditions that kept the most succesful union of clan and IS together for decades all because some dude you dont like says he doesnt like how close the vote (in his FAVOR) was. Made me wince. CGL had to hurt GB/RD because they were too powerful compared to their favored clan

I get why Clan Wolf has the plot armor it does, they sell models. Love them or hate them, Clan Wolf is popular enough to sell a lot of plastic. I have bought my fair share of Clan Wolf stuff and other stuff to counter Clan Wolf. It is just business. :(

It really bothered me how poor the justification was for the ghost bear civil war. It made no sense, ignored ghost bear/rasalhague culture history/tradition and was then followed by leaders trying to start a war with neighbors to achieve "unity". That also makes no sense.

@liljenborg2517
@liljenborg2517 Жыл бұрын
They keep sticking the Taurians with such stupid leadership, house Calderon turned their backs on it and formed the Protectorate. To be fair, they're still dealing with the Blakists dropping an asteroid on their capital city (and conning them into blaming the Davions for it)

@@foenrik8941 well the invasion weakened them, and caused damage to their territory, which is bad considering that the taurians are split into 2, hence the one facing invasion has less to work with and more to lose.

@@foenrik8941 The Taurian Concordat went from the biggest, toughest kid in the periphery, with the brightest future (in some ways the brightest future of any nation in the setting) to a broken nation playing fourth fiddle to the dominatirixes of Canopus, the Raven Alliance manufacturing Clan naval tech, and even the little Romans that could over in the Marian Hegemony. Even the new periphery state the Fronc Reaches (mostly settled by the Far Lookers from the Taurian Concordat) seems more stable than the Concordat these days. Yes they conquered back the Pleiades cluster just outside the Milky Way that the Davions snagged for themselves after the Reunification War, but they were so consumed by Davion paranoia (something that made them easy tools for the Blakists during the Jihad) that something like 2/3 of their systems broke away to form their own nation, the Calderon Protectorate, until the powers that be in the Concordat returned to something resembling "almost sane".
