Battletech Hextech Sigma Dome

Earlier in February of 2023 I completed the Sigma Dome from #Thunderheadstudio for #Battletech which was printed by SteelWarrior Studios. This was the largest structure I have completed for #tabletopgaming.
It was quite a feat to get this thing ready to go, even for more of a "tabletop ready" perspective. Overall it came out very cool and can be quite versatile being either a huge mech hangar or be broken down into smaller sections and spread out across a base on a large 6x4 hexmap.
There are a lot of nice details from the gears/tracks at the doors, to the lifts on the sides and wall of each gantry, the walkway around the top of the facility, even small power sources at each station, and a set of drums which I gave various colored fluids to for the sci-fi feel.
Outside of the structure I went with a sandy brown and light blue doors - reminiscient of the Mechwarrior 4 PC game Mech Hangars. The top was set up to provide at least some camouflage from aerial flyovers. Green for trees, dark and light brown for a mix of dirt and even the light blue to appear as water.
I am very glad to be finished with it as it will be a very cool piece of terrain in games going forward and it was a lot of effort haha! Thanks for watching!

Ah, the Sigma Dome is one of my favorites. It has gotten a Mk II update recently, complete with a totally redesigned (and in my opinion much better) doorway. I'd love to get you one!

Well that's awesome, I really like a lot of the hextech stuff, still have a bunch of it to paint up from steel warrior. Do you guys have someone printing for you like steel warrior was?

I glued mine all together. Except the doors and roof.

Hey man thanks for the videos and honesty. Would you be inclined to making alpha strike video I just got the box set and would be interested in combined arms with Mechs and any tip thanks 👍

Thank you for your kind words and for stopping by! I am a Total Warfare player through and through. I do have the Commander's edition of the Alpha Strike rules so i may be able to look into it in the future. For right now though ill be focusing on Total Warfare.
