WH 40K, The Empire of Man, Traveler, Known Space/Man-Kzin Wars & BattleTech are my favorite Sci-Fi universes. With LOTS of background history. Space Opera at it's finest. Having said that I do have problem w/ BattleTech Great/Noble Houses in that they have lasted too long. By the end of the Second Secession War all the great houses & most of the noble families should of been killed or died off. Looking at the our real history dynasties last maybe 1-2 centuries b4 being replaced. There are the RARE cases where a royal/noble families will last 3-4 centuries in power. Still love BattleTech and this series tho. Thanks for the vid

Do we have a planetary map of Hesperus? I feel like we could stage battles of Hesperus by mounting it on a dart board with the mountain complex over the bullseye. Not that I'm complaining, I love these battles. Also, have you found new art somewhere? I feel like there were several pictures here I've never seen, namely the defenders of Andurien parade, Takeshi's Battlemaster, and the portrait of Janos you used. On that subject I feel like the lack of respect for him in the community is not helped by his dorky forehead tattoo.

BattleTech Universe had a bunch of new art in it. We do actually have a map of Hesperus, but there's very little useful detail on it. Nearly every battle is clustered on one tiny area of the Myoo Mountains. The Kincaid Defiance Depot mentioned in the Tenth Battle is actually on a small polar continent by itself.

I could go either way. Takashi spends the later years of his life expected Theodore to stab him in the back at any moment, almost as if that's something Takashi might have done if he was in his son's shoes. At the same time, his character is such a rigid adherent to Bushido and family honour that plotting like that seems like it would be the ultimate shame for him.
