Surprised that the clans would employ such a mech.

I agree it cant fight most mechs in a fair fight, but when the clans started losing the war all the clans had to adapt to mixed arms combat so this thing can fly in drop of a pair of elementals and fly back to cover when things get too hot

It is because of the lack of Firepower Imagine Prestige and honor a warrior would get for defeating a direwolf while piloting a Viper

A mech purely designed for gaining honor, by defeating opponents it should not
