They learned from Dan at Campus B with the scissors and the skywalk. The corridors are prefab and interchangeable for them to powerwash them clean.

Paint jobs on these are fantastic!

I purchased 2 sets of the pre-painted Hextech Drop Base Delta Fortress Walls and 2 sets of the pre-painted Energy Walls. For the $$ I think that both sets are fantastic. They are a fraction of an inch shorter then some tall minis but keep in mind without hex bases under the minis the walls would be slightly taller. They were VERY well packed and the paint jobs looked good enough for me! Now I need to get some turrets. I have found that the Energy Walls set adds a LOT of versatility. Yes-there are NO energy walls in Battletech. I don't use the energy sections that came with the set. If you look at the end sections that are meant for energy walls there is a 5mm gap. You can fit just about anything in there and make it look like it was meant to be there! If you cut 5mm thick foam sheets to fit in there you can use these sections to make elevation changes that conform to your terrain. Now you aren't limited to completely flat areas. Just dry brush to make it look like a metal wall section and it fits in like it was made for it. If you want to put the effort into it you could use patterned styrene sheets. I have the old Geo-Hex Comstar HPG buildings patterned off the cartoon to put inside the wall so I didn't buy the other Drop Base parts but I might change my mind and get them if I can find them. Dan did a great job painting those. Thanks for the video guys!

I have the Hextech Dropbase and I am very happy with it. It's handy to have some Mech Bays and other military style buildings for objectives etc. in AS games.

Looking great. Would fit well into something like a Battletech:Override battle report... 🤔😅

Off the subject a bit... newish to the game. Instead of using 2D6 for rolls has there been any objections to simply using 1d12 for rolls?
@jayday36743 ай бұрын
I kind of just answered my own question. Can probably use a 1D12 if you excluded rolls of 1
@DeathfromAboveWargaming3 ай бұрын
Eh you certainly can - but it dramatically changes probabilities. Google 2d6 probability, then compare to a d12 where every number has an equal chance of landing. BT was built with the harsh 2d6 probability in mind.

A lot of the modifiers in AS (TMM, range bands, partial cover) are based around the results spread you get from 2d6. A little bump from needing 7s to hit vs needing 8s to hit is a big deal with 2d6, less so with 1d12. Getting a 12 on 1d12 is also much more likely so you will get a lot more crits that way.

@@DeathfromAboveWargaming This makes sense. I am an old D&D campaigner and was approaching it with that in mind. And I still have all of my dice.

@thecommuterzombie It never really occurred to me that they were factoring in the probability of rolls. Makes more sense that you would want a more challenging roll with 2D6 as opposed to 1D12.
