Nice job gents. Would have loved the green screen of old and new just for a moment to really compare. also have the complete plastic and metal lances next to each other. Think it would make the differences and improvements pop out more. Did not support any KS, as my mega tray of metal unpainted shame is way too large.

What I love about the new CGL miniatures is that you can pretty much look at two Mechs and know which one is heavier. An 85-ton Battlemaster looks like it has the same bulk as the 85-ton Warhawk. When you put the Victor or the Awesome next to them you know they look a little lighter, When you put the Highlander next to them you know the Highlander is heavier. They've kept a sense of scale that always put me off the official minis before. Even in Dark Age (less said about them the better) they looked all wrong.

The silliest thing you can do with a raven is gut its guns and electronic warfare equipment and strap an ac20 and 1 ton of ammo to it. I call it, the thunder cluck.

The Victor/old sculpt is a favorite. The new Victor looks great, may have to grab one. If you play in the future take a look at the 10D, it's just a juiced 9B. It's got some real armor and a UAC/20

Can't wait till these hit shops in my neck of the woods. I own the Command and Battle Lance, quality is very good, looking forward to the other packs, like the one with the Stalker or the one with the Nightstar. Great video, I especially like the closeups. Though I think it would be cool to show the old versions in a closeup, too. Maybe even side by side for direct comparison. Keep up the great work!

Those all look amazing, but the Raven comes off looking the best IMO. That recessed cockpit feels real where most of the 3d printed variants feel like the cockpit is an afterthought. That would be a lance id play out of the box for an urban game although i would change weapon loadouts as I'm a missile (lrms, srms, mrms, rocket launchers, etc) and melee weapon fanboy. Nothing says headhunter like a spider with tsm and a hatchet looking for head hits. I don't tend to get them as a disgusting amount of fire is directed at them(I guess they like their heads attached?)

Great figures :-) I agree with the scale these new mechs look like they are from the same world whilst the older figures sometimes looked too different to be comparable......I have some older mechs that are so out of scale they look silly together.....but no urbie in an urban lance :-( I know its been put into another box but calling it an urban lance sort of dictates what should be in it :-)

I hope they made enough of these such that they actually have stock for retail. Probably want all the is Lances but this is top of the list with both the victor and raven. After that need a panther, crusader to cover some of my favorites.

The clan Hunchback 2C looks way smaller than this Hunchback. I wonder if this is supposed to be this way? The 2 ultra AC20s look so small.

They are placed in the exact same position so I was easily able to swap back and forth to compare both mech. They seem to be the same size! However I still think the Ultra AC20s look small compared to single AC20.

Yah - I agree they are a little smaller. Though keep in mind from a “crit slot” and tonnage perspective, the clan weaponry is far more efficient so maybe this was intentional in the design? I can pretend 😁

Hahah its fair! And yes, there are urban maps out there… a lot of guys will (if youre using paper maps) add terrain pieces to hexes to represent buildings. If you are going the 3D terrain route, lots of options there too!

I love Battletech , but it seems that Catalyst only gives a shit about their Kickstarter Backers, and I have yet to see a Preorder. It's also fuzzy to me if wave 3 will only be available to wave 2 backers or not...so confusing.

Not going to down vote but I do have some feedback. I appreciate what you guys are doing with featuring and comparing new versus old models, but with the camera so far away, it's more two guys talking about dots on the table that could be mechs. Green screen for new mechs is awesome, but get in closer so we can really see the comparison between new and old. Our newer breed may never have seen the old models and even us older players may not own certain figures to compare ourselves. Get your zoom on damnit. No reason to see dead space two feet off each of your shoulders. I have interest on what you're all saying but I'd like to be able to see it clearly too.

as amazing as it is to have that many plastic options that look good, it is still astounding that my 3D printed mechs have crisper details than the plastic ones. the edges are just sharper, the details more pronounced. nevertheless, it is good to have better looking affordable plastic models. I hope the game will thrive from here on out.
