Turbo tunnel is a children’s game compared to the fucking rollercoaster and those assholes chasing you at full speed. Most people didn’t make it past the turbo tunnel that’s why it’s thought to be the hardest level in the game…

​@@mtgxpro9514 some players just had the knack for the turbo tunnel,others just found it extremely difficult to pass. Of course the snake pit was more difficult as expected because it comes AFTER the turbo tunnel.

I love the little riff that calls back to the first stage. This theme goes so hard. I've seen the end of this game with save states, but I have absolutely no memory of this level. I must have save scummed the absolute shit out of it. I also had no memory of the snake pit music, but I remember the level. I'm sure I was paying zero attention to the music by the time I got to that nightmare of a level😂 Probably the same deal here lmao

The first time reaching this stage after completing that damn snake-filled nest was great, but also with fear from dying immediately, and that absolutely happened. It took me a big number of tries to get here and have enough lives to continue. I was lucky to have this on console and the grinding was even worse than when playing Contra 3 to be able to finish it. But it was fun, and it is still fun as the OST is great.

It took me years, with emulation and save states to even pass the turbo tunnel and snake pit without throwing my controller in the tv. When i discovered this level, i said OH HELL NAH. Still one of the best games but jesus christ how the hell did the game testers not voice concern over difficulty?!
