I used to freeze the lake water for live well ice. It doesn't have any bleach or chlorine in it like ice made from tap water. It helps with your mortality rate on hot days.

This is an amazing tip! When those bass are coming from super deep water here in Michigan it's even hard to keep some of them alive with ice after you fizz them on hot days. I'll have to give this one a try

When you have 5 dinks in a livewell they can get a little crazy inside it… pad your tops of the insides of the hatches, m, keep ice, plenty of spring water ice or even the water from the lake you’re fishing

Great job, and happy birthday. My birthday is this week and while I don't get to fish a tournament *on* my birthday, I will have 2 days of practice followed by 2 days of tournament on one of my favorite bodies of water (Mississippi River, in this case pool 12) starting the day after my birthday, so close enough. Good luck at Champlaign

Is there a rule agianst keeping more than 5 fish in your livewell If you know you might have dead fish when you get to the dock, why not keep a couple extra when you cull instead of throwing back your 6th and 7th biggest just keep them in the extra livewell?

I feel like as much money as you have on the line in these tournaments I’d go all out and install that fish lung live well system, a little pricey so I can’t justify spending the money but for you I’d say do it.

So I understand the heat is a struggle with fish in the summer but why are these bass dying so easily?
@anythingoutdoorsgulfcoast76173 ай бұрын
Because the keep them in a 2x2 box and drive them around the lake all day. If you’re not a fan check out MLF where they weigh the fish and release them immediately

.I never ever ever have my rod tip high .really .my rod tip is at water level and I'm playing out the fish as gently as I can .doing everything I can to keep it from coming up or realizing it is even caught .amd I rarely loose a fish .even with your parabolic rods I don't understand.becaue you being a pro should know better. .know that you have a better chance of that fish coming in the boat. It just scares me when I watch you reel a fish in. Smh.and to watch you get broke off or come unglued is even worse.
