The Shri Batuk Bhairav Temple is an very ancient mandir during the period of Mahabharata and learnt to be first among the temples built by the Pandavas.
It is believed that Pandavas had tried to organize Yagya several times , but the demons used to break the yagya repeatedly, then Bhagwan Krishna suggested that Bhagwan Bhairav should be installed in the fort to protect the fort.
