woah did i just get mindfucked? 3:25 this skate is the most snug (fit 1). he places it down but then he gets confused and calls it fit 2. then at the end he got them all right, but he actually mixed them up based on how they felt?!? im so confused edit: ok after hearing the explanation at the end, im guessing he didnt use the word "snug" accurately.

I have a similar foot shape and I’ve been skating in Vapors and Jetspeeds as well. The Fit 2 Vapor is a perfect fit. Great narrow heel lock and the wider forefoot. The skate feels great.

I ordered a fit 1, the length and width are so perfect but the instep was a bit to low and hurt a bit on top of my foot but im not sure if its going to go away after a while or i need a fit 2

Chris glad to take your advise and go in the stores for a scan. I bought my Ultrasonic yesterday, I went from a size 7.5 to 7 and thought I was a Fit 2 to fit 3. Love the Ultrasonic, such a bad ass skate!

What really makes the UltraSonic a "Power" skate and Vapor and "Agility" skate? Just marketing hype?

Basically yeah, The type of skater you are and your leg strength/stamina would determine what you can do on the ice, not your skates.

@@sloanmoore3453 honestly, that's what I was thinking too. The only real reason I can see for this new system is so people can get a red skate because they think it looks nicer.

@@AlanenJ Research ? Lol. I’ve played hockey competitively my whole life and have owned nothing but Bauer skates. I have always used the vapor, but a friend of mine owned all three and said the only difference is the fitting of your foot. There’s no way putting on a skate is gonna boost your attributes like a game or somethin. If anything going from low tier to high tier would be the only drastic change for a player.

Went skate shopping for my 16 year old son yesterday. Bauer 3D scanner said he should wear a size 6.5 Fit 2. I expressed my doubts to the sales guy so he pulled out the Bauer skate version Brannock device and he measured as a size 8. The issue, he’s been wearing size 9.0 D width in 2S Pro’s for the past 12 months with no issues. The sales guy brought out 8’s, my son put it on and immediately said his toes were touching the end of the skate. Asked the guy to bring 8.5’s out and 9.0’s. He brought out 8.5 in Fit 2 and 9.0 in Fit 1. I went old school at that point and pulled the laces out of both skates, had my son push his toes to the front of the skate and in both sizes I could get one finger between the back of his heel and rear of the skate. He laced both pairs up and walked around for several minutes and said that he could not tell the difference. So then we had the guy bring out both Supreme 3S Pro and Vapor 3XPro. He wore each pair for a few more minutes and decided he liked the Supreme’s because they had more forward flex, better Pulse steel and he liked the looks/graphics on the exterior better. So we bought them, baked them up and sharpened them. He will skate on them today. I’m happy he settled with size 9 as I just dropped more than $200 Canadian on new Bladetech black steel about 2 months ago that will fit in his new pair too. Just for kicks I hopped on the 3D scanner and it said I’m a 9.5 Fit 2… for last 25 years I’ve been wearing Bauer’s in a 10.5 EE but I do like having a little room in my skates… just thought I’d share our experience from yesterday. Too bad Bauer doesn't make skates in a one piece boot frame. that is what made me choose CCM over bauer. I had my bauer one 95 skates for about 10 years and decided to upgrade in skate technology 10 months ago. I was going to get the 2x pros until I realized how great the one piece boot frame was on the FT2. I also like the XS holder over Tuuk because the blades are more secure even though the CCM stock blades are garbage. I'm glad I upgraded my blades to step steel, it fixed my problems I was having with stock steel. Bauer is a great company I just chose CCM over bauer.

Are the toe caps all the same in every one or is the toe cap more roomy as you change fit from 1 to 3? Reason I ask is I took a many years break from hockey and returned to wear my old One90's (I baked them again) and I find now that my feet are wider in the toe/forefoot than they were almost 10 years ago. I've found that where the toe cap meets the boot is where I get absolutely destroyed.. my flesh is getting sheered off on my big toes now despite laces loose and rebaking the boot. I've even tried using a heat gun to push out the toe cap outwards at that area but it's not working for me. A bit flustered and now waiting to heal and then I'll go talk to the pro shop I guess.

I wonder how this Fit system works across product lines. 2X Pro v. 3S Pro or Vapor V. Supreme, how do the Fits correspond. Historically, Vapors were more narrow. Thus, a Fit 1 in Supremes is a little tight on me; but, Fit 2 too much volume. So, wondering if a Fit 2 in Vapor might be just right. Unfortunately, no hockey stores near me, so all online. Wonder if anybody here has tried on same or different fits across Vapor and Supreme and can comment?
