I’m pretty impressed coming off of a 25 horse tractor and it didn’t seem to have any power issues, I kinda like the way they did that flex played on there with all the springs. I’d like to see what happens when you grind it too hard and see how it handles, getting stopped or press down too hard and see how that flexes but I think this is pretty functional. I was kind of expecting it to be not so great or really really slow. lol. I like it. Of course me being weird my mind wonders if you could put some sort of dirt digging bit on that that would be amazing for digging it drainage ditch along the side of your driveway or something or even just doing maintenance and scraping everything out of there just straddle the ditch with your tractor and drop that in and clean it out or dig it . I know that’s not the intention, but it would be almost perfect for it.😅

I look forward to seeing how this unit holds up over time. After getting a quote for grinding after the last hurricane, it was cheaper to buy a 1P24 and do them myself. Very disappointed with Baumalite, the splined shaft on the cutting wheel snapped right behind the slip clutch. The warranty will not replace or repair as i installed it on the tractor myself. Had i hauled the tractor to the dealer and had them put it on it would be covered. That just sounds wrong. I can pay for parts and labor, but that bill will be greater than what i paid for the implement. What is wrong with this picture? Side note: when i finally got their website to work you came up as my closest dealer, guess i should have brought it to you.
@TKCL2 ай бұрын
I sure hate hearing that. Thus far everyone has had positive things to say. I don't see how the dealer installing it would have made any difference, unless the slip clutch needed to be preset 🤷. I'm also not a dealer, no idea why I'm listed as one. I'll check into that. Take care

With all due respect, i just don't see the purpose. They already had their 24 inch and a 25hp has no trouble turning that. Another thing, is Baumalight has another design flaw on this one. The way they put the triangular horizontal gusset on the chute side, combined with the width of the chute shield (along with the poorly placed manual/tool tube), essentially blocks the line of vision from where the wheel should be hitting the stump. In this video, the grinder is being run on the opposite side of the stump of what it should be run. Here's why; the direction of the pto and grinding wheel should be applied to the stump to pull and hold the wheel down into the stump as it grind the side and top of the stump. When it's being hit with the right side of the wheel (right side of the tractor), it just dances over the stump and will bounce when hitting hard spots - real hard on the equipment. When driven with the left side, it holds it in and is much more stable and smooth. The other thing, is that this grinder just doesn't appear to have the ability to go deep. Stumps should actually be ground down about a foot, and many outward roots from the flare are that deep, as well. That brings us to the design glass of the first model, the 24. The design of the housing would not let it penetrate that deep, as it would hit the dirt and stop it from going deeper. Now, I researched these things intensely before finally making a choice. I ended up going with the Woodland Mills, as it was just heavier built, able to go deeper, and had a better pricepoint. The added on saw carrier for cutting stumps was a nice touch, as well. This was my second season with it, and not a complaint. It is run with a Kubota B2601 and I'm confident I have well over 200 stumps on it - some over 5ft. across. It was a close decision between the two, though.
@TKCL2 ай бұрын
This will be cheaper and it's not made specifically for 25hp tractors. Its rated much lower. This will give a more affordable option to homeowners of various size tractors. I'd like to test the 24 inch myself.
