The worst part is that it straight up removes burning spears when it would synergize with the capstone. Losing that much damage for an admittedly, tiny amount of healing... Isn't wort hit. 50~ heal per hit when you're probably taking like 1000 damage from lich in the time you'd do maybe 5 attacks? Feels awful!

I wonder if dust of appearance would help you in your final duel there since iirc, people sometimes use that item to prevent their opponent from hiding in the corner and stall

I think that getting rid of burning spear is a trap. With capstone it heals you, and it does wahayy more damage than the talent that removes it. A 30% chance to deal 50% attack speed damage? That is, on average, 105 extra damage per hit (350 damage on every 3 out of 10 attacks). Burning spear, by itself, does 180 damage per attack (just dealt over 9 seconds, but it stacks). So not only are you losing out on 75 damage per hit, you're also losing out on the massive amount of per-attack healing you'd get from the capstone and the extra bonus healing from the spell lifesteal you get from Brooch (which does of course apply to burning spear's damage, and would be more than the lifesteal off the 105 from a satanic except during activation). Yeah, it does suck a ton early game, but early game doesn't really matter that much- you just have to keep up and not get into duels and thats more than possible with simply judicious use of burning spear (max blood bonus is at 88%, so you can afford to use some spears here and there for farming- and if you get into a fight there's no reason to not dunk as many as possible regardless). Early brooch can help spell lifesteal off spear damage, but you can't use the item itself until you have capstone so that's an eh rush.
