At 11:30 you can see what i think is the roll tap deforming material into the pocket. Looks like the hole is very close to the pocket so very thin wall thickness. Probably a good idea to drill and tap that hole before milling out the pocket.

Hey man, I love your videos - I have to ask, do you account for chip thinning when taking finish passes with low radial engagement? I have issues with my finish when I don't!
@BavariaCNC
@BavariaCNC 2 жыл бұрын
Youe mean like doing a second surface path? I mostime do an extra "empty" path to ensure tolerences will be good and surface will be nice :)
@michaelkelly3158
@michaelkelly3158 2 жыл бұрын
@@BavariaCNC Like when you run your finishing pass, if you run a 0.025MM FPT it's actually less than this as its thinnest point if the axial engagement is small, like 0.2MM, 0.3MM etc. I only discovered this recently... but I find if I don't calculate for it my surface finish isn't so good. My machine isn't as nice as yours however, just a Haas MM.

@BavariaCNC
@BavariaCNC 3 жыл бұрын

1 Umdrehung schruppen, 1 Schlichten, fertig.
