Early 2020, yung original version ang halos naging theme song namin. Napakasarap naman kasing umasa sa pag-ibig na tila laging pinagtatagpo ng tadhana. Sino nga ba ang hindi kakapit sa pag-asa na against all odds e finally nandoon na kayo sa punto na eto na, nagawa n'yo na maging katuparan. Kaso late 2021, hindi nagwork. my mother is battling a cancer, and this is the song that i listen to on my low moments or when it's her chemo week. the line "dito ka na lang habang buhay" and "anong gagawin kung wala ka", perfectly describes my desperation that she stays with me forever, though i am aware that we are bound to leave someday and with the secret verse, it brings comfort to me na, not everyone will stay, and if the time came that i won't be able to see them again anymore, i'll just go back to the memories we made.

I saw someone posted a comment about his/her mom battling cancer. My mom died of breast cancer on January 29th of 2022 and ever since I heard this song, I would play this for weeks until today. We cannot bring back the person back, only the memory that was made. She was so precious, my mom. and if everything else, I wish I could hug one more time. Just one more time, I beg. “This is for the people who doesn't want to lose a certain person in their life yet they already lost that particular person.” I’ve sticked to this meaning as I was listening to this song, whether if it's the original version or the secret verse version. The original was more on conveying longing for that person to still come back while this version depicts acceptance that that person would never come back. I am within the two concepts I said, I still hope for that person, those times to come back, because I felt that it wasn't enough, that I am too late. Not conveying your feelings to that person and that person drifting away from you as time goes by, until you already can't reach it. That was what happened to me, I never confessed, I was so late, and I was regretful that I didn't have the courage to confess. I'm listening to Bawat Piyesa to ease this certain longing and that the song describes what I wanted to say, what I should've said, and what I'm saying inside me now.

This song hits home. It's been almost a month since mom passed because of brain aneurysm. Even though I know she's in a better place, with no sickness nor pain, it still hurts me to think it will take a long time before I see her upstairs. As a part of my coping process, I am working on an album dedicated to her. Her last favors to me were to finish my law school journey and be eligible for the KZbin partnership program aka be monetized. I saw it when she was on her last days as she was the one to enroll me in Law school and she would eagerly talk to people to invite them to listen to my tracks. I am a performance poet and a hiphop artist. I first heard of Toneejay and his former band because the shop I printed copies of my mixtapes was the same shop where in they printed their album.
