Nice demo, thanks for sharing 👍 .................. I've been thinking of buying a laser over the last few weeks, was very close to buying an Xtool D1 Pro, but the price put me off ........... so, I've decided to build my own! Already started buying the relevant bits and pieces, aiming for a working area of around 1220mm x 610xx (4ft x 2ft) though and it should be far cheaper than the Xtool!

I see this as a compliment to woodworking. These don't make furniture, serve as lathes for pens or spindles, cut thicker pieces of wood, cut only to a specific depth, etc. Their affordability has opened their capabilities to many more people, so they are of interest and covered a lot in videos. There are plenty of woodworking channels that have years of history and/or actively publish new content. A little looking and you can be happy.
