Thank you Baxi and Darren. I joined the 3 days fault finding course and that was one of the best decisions I’ve made, know boiler from inside out and how to diagnose it. This video gives me confidence to strip down a baxi 800, and I am planning to install one in my area.

Great video. When checking the tightness of the joint on top of the gas valve would the boiler need to be operational?

would have thought so as the valve has to be open for gas to be present there.

Why expansion vessel have to be at 1 bar? If my system is at 1.5 or 1.7Bar. 1bar in expansion vessel will not do anything.

Fitted a couple of 600 and 800 don't like them baxi platinum much better boiler I found condense trap on 600 a pain in the arse platinum under boilerplate much better

Hi, I just going to service mine, do you know that the condense trap must be filled back with water? It think he puts it back empty.
