This video has attracted so many comments over the years. Fans love to try and work out what was happening on stage between the Rollers and I guess that's a sign of an enduring affection for the band!. I think the rivalries between them are well documented but they always gave a professional, exciting performance. Even today the 'rock' business is a tough scene and there are some huge egos floating around and petty jealousies; so not much changes! The Rollers in their 'heyday' had it ALL and are unrivaled in their ability to fascinate and involve audiences. So glad we have these videos to remind us what rock and roll is all about! I believe this was their happy phase.. tensions didn’t start I believe u til late 1977 into 1998… and u can tell from a tour in Japan in 78 that Eric and Les were fighting.. can see it on stage

@streatleyred There is nothing wrong with being a STRAIGHT male fan of The Bay City Rollers and their music. The fact is that they made a number of quality singles - not to mention albums - in the mid-1970's. And you're right ...... "Give A Lil Love" was one of their best. In fact, it was one of the classic number 1 hit singles of the 70's, in my opinion.

I am a 43 year old Danish woman who was a big BCR fan when I was a teen. I got to meet Les and was the happiest girl until I saw him with his boyfriend John. It broke my poor teenage heart. Saw the BCR in concert about 15 years ago, where Les and Ian looked like a couple of old junkies. That was such a sad sight to see. But I still love the music and can still get the same feelings I got when I listend to once upon a star, you're a woman and all of the other great songs they did. Long live BCR

Could it have been only yesterday ;)) I only come back to the Bay City Rollers at my 40. anniversary, but since then I became fan again. I felkt like I did with 14 years. The Bay City Rollers, THE boygroup of the 70', the first boygroup ever. They were so cute. I was a fan of Woody, but when I look now at him, I do not really know why ;)) I think, it was because all my friends were fan of Leslei. It's a pitty, that the television nearly never play songs of them, it's te same on compilations!
