Damn, Joan Jett sure got a ton of mileage from their I Love Rock N Roll. I`ve never heard of The Arrows and them doing this song, though Joan did a very close (and good) version of it.

Two seventies teen scream teams. Very different musical styles for these bands, but both had massive girl appeal.
@blackmore47 жыл бұрын
Would they be too... hmm... 'girly' now? I mean, I don't think they are but they certainly don't fit the bill of today's uber-masculine Neanderthal pop heart-throbs.
@bluesky-pb9di5 жыл бұрын
@@blackmore4 the younger guys were very slim. While the two older ones had more weight on them. As a young teen I barely noticed the older ones. The asian k-pop are more girly and not the young BCR. Americans singers back then had more meat in their bones. Guess we ate bigger meals.😆

hot, nastie version of "i love rock n roll." better than joan jett's version. it's a shame both bands couldn't have jammed on the tune.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but Ian left the band shortly after this. Did he make it to MSG in NYC?

Bay City Rollers and Arrows = teen scream fest!

people used to make fun of the bay city rollers back in the day, but they appear to have been a credible power pop band, comparable to an outfit like the flamin' groovies perhaps.

we're both groups miming
@ludovica82215 жыл бұрын
Yes of course, All pop shows at that date in the UK were mimed Some of the serious rock show had recordings of live sessions by single bands, but a show with multiple acts was always mimed Live music TV didnt happen until the late 80s when the technology was better

Eric baby is barefoot in this one, But that guy is ignoring Woody in the end and putting all the attention on Ian purposely, Rude ass. Woody takes it with grace like the class act he is!!

anna Last that “guy” is Allan Merrill the host of the show and leader of The Arrows, and was not being rude, he asked Ian about being new to the band. He didn’t ask Derrick anything either, and aside from that Woody could have said anything and it All would have been fine. You’re looking for controversy where none exists whatsoever.

Rude my asssssp. You got to be joking. No rudeness anywhere. Just dumb dumbs like you making up bullsquash
@fabnekko4 жыл бұрын
Alan Merrill was not rude, he's a friend of Woody's. He was welcoming the new member Ian Mitchell on the show. In fact I read that Alan lived across the street from Eric in Notting Hill gate in 1976. They're friends. You pop fans create wars between bands that don't exist and hey, it's 2020. Over 40 years ago.
