I grew up in Bay Ridge in the early 60s and 70s and left in the late 80s . A quick story about the 69th street pier , there use to be a ferry from there to staten island , I remember when I was around 4 years old my grandfather would take me on it and once there we could get the big ferry over to NYC ,,,, I heard there's a new ferry service from the pier to another pier at 39th street and then to NYC ,,,,,, I was really sorry to hear that Lemark Lanes bowling alley had closed down and century 21 on 86th St. I could go on and on ,,,,, some changes are good and some bad ,,,,, I also know of 3 movie theaters that are gone from Bay Ridge since I was a kid , anyway ! Nice video and thanks for sharing it with us all 👍🏻

I’ve lived all over the country. I lived in bayridge from 2020-21. Before that Manhattan for 2 years. Between Manhattan and Brooklyn I choose Brooklyn everytime. If you’re moving to nyc live in Brooklyn better yet live in. Bayridge Brooklyn. Trust me on this. I use to walk shore park road every weekend.

I'm from Bklyn but I joined the AF in 1975 and never came back. The narrator mentioned her high school. I went to Tech, the last all male graduating class, 1973.

I’m assuming you grew up in Brooklyn. However, I could detect no accent at all. Interesting. On the other hand, you did a great job and you sound adorable! Lastly, to those who gave you the seven thumbs downs, they are probably just trolls

Al Capone was a Brooklyn boy, was married there, and was a bouncer at the Grand Prospect Ball, which supposedly was the first building there to have electricity.

First conscicious thougt I remember , was the supertructures of the Verizano Straight Narrow Bridge, Getteing Higher everytime night turned to day. Fort Hamilton Park , so I didn't find the trees I used to climb, at first. You might ask why I just don't visit. Well, there are landing stips, none official to accomidate trans atlantic flights, super sonic. Blackbird is on the ground, so it's not that easy to hitch a ride over the blue bog! Might have to roll up some Silver Dollars........1,2 3 4 ,..............................................................................................................---....
