Hey love your vids, very informative and it's helping me learn the tracks more + get better times in TT. Just 2 small suggestions maybe: you sometimes include this, but it would nice if you included some shroomless strategies aswell or optimal routes in each map, something that can be used in regular races. Also this might be a little harder, but having a controller map would be great, so we see your inputs in real time while you explain it.
@Bayesic3 жыл бұрын
I’ll definitely consider putting shroomless strats back in. The issue I had was that most of the time that portion of the video would literally just be like “if your running shroomless don’t use shrooms” haha. Just gotta find a way to make it interesting and relevant As for the controller map, would love to do something like this but as far as I can tell the only way to get it on screen is to hack your switch, which kinda makes me anxious lol ngl. If I can find a way to do it without having to hack my switch or buying a whole other controller though I’d love to include it

Just discovered your channel, and while I don't play this game anymore (played TTs a ton back on Wii U), appreciate what you're doing for the MK8 community. :) I wasn't involved in the competitive community so only found out about a lot of these strats from KZbin and a MK8 group I hung out in. It's amazing to see there was actually more to some of these tricks than just getting a feel for the track lol. Like for example, I kept on failing runs from the ending sc on this track. Didn't even know the actual strat was to aim for the 4th arrow off the ramp. With all that said, keep up the good work!

Welcome to Part 11 of Bayesic Training where we're going to cover everything you need to know about Electrodrome on 150cc. The first thing you'll notice is the "r" in between the d and the o. It turns out that the way to optimally pronounce this name is not actually by dropping the "r", but pronouncing it fully

i understand that how old this video is makes it unlikely for me to get a response but i'm stuck at a 2:01.796, splits 41.824, 39.998, and 39.974. my problem is i feel like i am doing things identically to as shown in the video, and i either take the line way too wide or just fall straight into the holes i'm super desperate to get sub 2 because i used to own this track in 2020 (in so much that i would dominate anyone i raced on this track despite sucking at most of the others). my soft drifting is relatively inconsistent but i am comfortable with resetting until i get that 3 for 3 softdrift, mainly because of how desperate i am lol the main culprits are i cannot take the first turn (the one with the traffic cones) as tight as as shown in the video without clipping the offroad, and if i go any wider at all, i knock the cones over, which you don't do in the video. the second issue is around the turn that changed the music, the same issue but instead of the offroad i fall off the track completely (like, every time) unless i take it way wide. any help would be greatly appreciated as i really want to get this sub, and i am willing to try more or less anything. (ps. great video, already lowered my pb from a 2:12 to the aforementioned 2:01 in a month or so, i just need that final push) edit: not sure how relevant this is but my best splits are 41.59x and 39.487, adding up to a 2:00.564 - 2:00.573, depending on what the x in 41.59x is
@Bayesic2 жыл бұрын
So it's kind of hard to visualize what's going on here, cause it sounds like you kind of know what the problem areas are so all I got is "don't do that" lol. What I can say is that I don't think knocking the cones over on that first turn is a big deal as in it doesn't slow you down at all or anything. In general, offroad slows you down when your *back tires* clip it so you can take turns tightly as long as it's only your front tires going into the offroad or hanging off the track Hope this helps but if not, your next best bet would be to upload your run to KZbin and ask around either in the speedrunning discord or the MKLeaderboards discord, both of which you can find in my own discord which is linked in all my videos
@danalaman2 жыл бұрын
@@Bayesic this has helped keep my runs more consistent. I used to get a mix of 2:01s, 2:02s, and 2:03s, now even runs I feel were quite poorly done achieve (very high, but still) 2:01s. I have also taken your advice to post my run to the mk8 speedrunning discord so it can be watched for improvements to be made. Thanks for the help!

Hey, great tutorial as always! I use your videos as reference whenever I or any of my teammates need help in improving their lines! I recall that you mention in your stream that one doesn't need to master each track to have good overall lines in online races. Instead, you suggested to time trial a lot on two tracks with Electrodrome being one of them. What was the other track?
@Bayesic3 жыл бұрын
I uhhh.... don't remember haha. Electrodrome is one for sure because you can get super good times without doing any advanced strategies. I also usually suggest Mario Circuit 200cc to get a feel for how to soft drift though since you can build up ultra mini turbos by soft drifting on pretty much every turn on that track

@@Bayesic How about Tick Tock Clock on 150cc? What's your assessment of that track? I ask because I would see Kusaan time trialing that track a lot before his mogis and races during his live streams.
@Bayesic3 жыл бұрын
@@OniAzul Interesting. You might want to ask him why he does that if he still streams then cause personally I don't like to time trial courses that have a lot of moving parts like Tick Tock Clock

Why Dry Bowser > Morton? Bigger hitbox for the edgeing or is it just preference?

So Dry Bowser is actually slightly different from Morton. They have the same speed / acceleration / miniturbo stats, but Dry Bowser has slightly better handling The character who's the same as Dry Bowser is Wario, and as far as I know it's basically just personal preference
