They lost Paul George for nothing, and Kawhi's knee already prevented him from playing in the Olympics. Would it shock anyone if Kawhi has to miss a huge chunk of the season? If that happens (obviously hope not for Kawhi), the Clippers are banking on overweight, rapidly aging James Harden to lead them valiantly to the playoffs in a STACKED Western Conference. Call me sceptical.... but Harden is notorious for jumping ship during adversity. I wouldn't bank on Kevin Porter Jr, Josh Primo, Kai Jones, Mo Bamba, or Bones Hyland moving the needle on winning you games of NBA basketball. 😅😅 That team might absolutely crater.... and even if the Clippers pick has the 9th "best" odds in the draft..... Atlanta proved big jumps can happen. OKC has the Clippers UNPROTECTED swap, and I really don't think it's (completely) far-fetched to imagine a world where it becomes a top-4 pick.
