*the classic Spanish song. Ernesto Lecuona, the composer, was born in Cuba, when it was a Spanish province. He lived in Spain most of his life, and his nationality was Spanish. And the song name refers the Spanish city "Málaga".

I had the fortune to see James several times a week in New Orleans during the summers of 1978 and 1979, mostly at the Maple Leaf Bar on Oak St. Sometimes I caught him playing on Toulouse St. in the Quarter. It's hard to describe how phenomenal he was to see live. I recall thinking that this stuff at the bar ought to be recorded. As it turned out, it WAS recoreded and resulted in two CDs.
