this and castaway got awesome metal feels. it's weird as hell, over the last 5 years ADTR has gotten soft but Bayside has gotten angrier. keeps the balance in my favorite bands I guess. Fuggin, Strung Out just dropped a dud of an album today, supreme disappointment

This is so different from the walking wounded, killing time, vacancy, interrobang, or even the red EP. Sure in some of their later stuff they've tried to be a bit heavier, but Anthony's lyrics in recent songs feel more and more forced, less clever or fluid. It gives the song a choppy or unsteady flow. With that said, it's light-years better than anything I could personally do 😂 but I do miss the older stuff, it was so full of emotion. The interrobang album is probably the most recent album that still feels like "Bayside", songs like the title track and Bury Me 👌

Long stories short EP was what sold me on the band. Foot impressions is a classic, but days of my life always was inspiring, "Take some time to think my whole life through, 'cause nine to five's not cutting it and I've got more important things to do, than sit around like apples slowly rotting to their core, and I won't take it 'cause I know that I'm here for so much more"

badass song. but the obsession in music with demonology and satanic imagery is wack. its a little disappointing to see Bayside hopping on that trend. I've loved and supported this band for half my life. I'm sure that back in high school I'd feel differently. It wouldn't bother me at all... the shock value alone would've had me on board. but I've grown up. Id like to see that in the bands that I've listened to for so long as well. Just my opinion, I don't expect anyone to agree with me.
