This brings back so many memories of childhood. I was 8 years old when Baywatch season 1 was on tv (when it was a drama show and actually had good storylines).. and I swear I wanted to be a lifeguard when I grew up because of this show. My brother and I would even play Baywatch and he built me a pretend lifeguard tower with our dad's ladder and a board. I would run with an encyclopedia pretending it was a rescue float. :) Great memories. This songs brings all of it back. Thank you! ❤

i agree. initially, the storylines were great. then it later became all about pamela anderson, and that just ruined it for me.

Baywatch season 1 WAS Baywatch and always will be. All the original cast Save Me by Peter Cetera and the original end credits. NBC just didn't know what they had or gave it time. From England UK

Totally agree as well … the music, the actors, it was well scripted … not the model parade it became later on … I guess they never thought it would become such a big hit with so little effort put into it later … at least we will always have season 1

I agree with you. I kinda lost interest in the program as I grew older but Season 1 was the best. Its beautiful, hopeful and melancholic. I never wanted to end. I also liked the montage of images they used. Brilliant.

So unbelievable good and so sad, that it is so short. I never forgot this melodie. The show was a blast back then. Ok I was 7 yo but today the first seasons of Baywatch are not kind of awkward like most stuff from this time.

The intro and closing themes to season 1 were far superior to the later themes of the series. Loved Baywatch in its NBC infancy when Shawn Weatherly, Parker Stevenson and Brandon Call were in it. It went downhill fast for me once it was syndicated with new theme music, cast members and replacements. Miss the 1989-90 era so much

I liked Erika too but she was also in season 2 and the first episode of season three. For me the magic of season 1 and its cast will always be my favourite season of Baywatch and it was more natural and entertaining than the subsequent seasons. Shawn Weatherly and Parker Stevenson were my two favourite characters from the whole series.

I don't get it. I watched Baywatch as a teen, but I remember the ending theme being "The End," which they now say was not used until 2018! NOT POSSIBLE!
