They shoud bring Baywatch Nights back,okay it was cheesey in its day but i loved it.My favourite was MITCH.Of course,i realise all the people who where in it back then are now older.But it could return if done correctly.Also Heather Cambell as the original Neely was a lot better than Geena Lee Nolan who they brought into Baywatch in season 9.I had to scoff when Ryan was getting introduced to the job,about the part where she was told she could only have 5 minutes for her break.You wouldn't get away with that now.

this show brings back memories from better times in my life, it was a great show even though it got bad reviews. it was better than baywatch. The better scene was when ryan was talking naughty over the phone jajajjjjssjjjjjaaaaaa

***** I agree with you about the show being better than Baywatch. I think Baywatch Nights was unfairly given bad reviews, maybe because people were trying to judge it as a serious PI detective show which it isn't meant to be. It has a bit of action, comedy, storyline, character interaction and that's why I like it - it has a bit of everything in there. There are no light hearted shows like this anymore nowadays which is a big shame.

Credit to the cast. The writing was spotty later but the cast worked. David Haselhoff was always Mitch Buchanan . Angie Harmon rocked Ryan but she's had a good career. Garner was a great character . Baywatch forever!

So Heather Campbell played the 1st Neely in Season 5 of Baywatch.. and now she appears in Nights.... which was the beginning of Season 6 , interesting she didn't reprise her role as Neely as a main character seeing as she was still hired as an actress with the show producers.. I didn't know she was in Baywatch Nights ,until now I thought she had left and they decided to re cast her character which lead to bringing Geena Lee Nolin on board.. I liked Heather Campbell.. she made a great baywatch Babe.. If anything she would have made a good summer replacement.. for even character cameos for season 5 as Nicole Eggert wasnt seen again until Hawaiian wedding. Heather Campbell was the around the same height and she resembled Summers looks... she would have been good to portray the character if needed. It is just a thought..

Gena Lee Nolin was a great actress also, and no doubt beautiful, but I always thought Heather, the "original" Nealy, was drop-dead gorgeous. Wish she could've stayed on as Nealy.

Hoff pretty much claimed it was studio interference. Despite season one mediocre ratings he felt he had a handle on the direction the show should take. However, other people that were over him had different ideas. Since The X-Files was insanely popular, they wanted to mimick that success. To this day Hoff will claim this show was one of his biggest disappointments because the studio wouldn't let him do what he felt needed to be done. At least that is his side of the story.
