*Let Them Get Married - Part 2* _NAK - Feb 21st_ ✔1) Some of the most important teaching and guidance of Quran is conveyed by telling stories (that is what good teachers do that you understand the characters as well as timeless lessons). ✔2) One of the most relevant story for this topic is the story of Musa AS (the only marriage proposal story mentioned in Quran). ✔3) In this story, Allah described Musa as even before he was Prophet. When Musa AS reached his firm age (age of puberty). ✔ 4) When you reach puberty or adolescence, you are accountable for your sins and actions. In modern society, we treat young men as kids, even though they are not kids in the sight of Allah. When you treat them as immature or young, then they will not even consider themselves as grown up. ✔7) The Prophet saw was in the medina in his mid fifties (governor of Medina). When the Prophet saw came across an issue (either personal or political), he used to take advice or take counsel the young people. Age is relative to culture. ✔7) From the religious perspective, if you are a teenager and you are in 20s, you are not a kid. ✔8) Since birth, Musa as was raised in a castle of Pharaoh as a royal kid. He does not have to work a single day in his life and no body can question him (multi-millionaire of that time). ✔9) When Musa as become mature, Allah says he give him the wisdom [ability to make good decisions or the strength and will to make good decisions] and knowledge. ✒a. Wisdom in Arabic - the beneficial knowledge you can act on. ✒b. This order is important, as you are young you are learning and learning. When you gets older, you will get wisdom (usually old people). Usually, knowledge comes first and then wisdom. But in this ayah, Allah mentions wisdom before even knowledge. ✒c. When you are certain age, you can be super smart, sometimes these intelligent young men are not very intelligent (who usually do stupid things or reckless). When it comes to life, they make absurd decisions. ✒d. Nowadays, we are proud of our kids when they have knowledge (we glorify knowledge or degrees). But they are sacrificing basic wisdom, (they do not have what needs to be a decent person or control their impulses). ✒e. In this time, young men are faced with an opportunity to make bad decisions every single minute. ✒f. Your wisdom is questioned all the time. You need to have the strength or will to fight bad choices or make good choices. ✒g. The first thing in the mature men (the Allah highlights) is the ability to hold yourself for making bad choices. ✒h. Allah does not hold you accountable for bad thoughts, Allah hold you accountable for those thoughts taking over your actions. ✒i. Allah has given us the profound ability to control ourselves and demonstrate maturity. If you do have that strength, then knowledge becomes different because when you learn something, you learn only to further yourselves in wisdom. ✔10) Istawa - used for strong trees and Musa as worked out. He is popular, strong and rich. He was able to remain mature. Musa was not brought up in a Islamic environment. The only positive impact was from her mother and all other terrible influences. Everything you can think of bad environment was available for Musa. ✔11) He become the prophet, well after he was married, in the mountain. This is the story of a good young men. ✔12) This is the first hint of Musa AS maturity. The second piece - eventually ends up running from Egypt. He sees the couple of young women, he helps them, and they told their dad. Dad told them that this guy sounds nice. Musa as came to the house. By closely reading the Quran, it shows that one of the girls likesld him (even though she told her father). ✔13) Musa AS told the whole story (from birth to murder running away), she calls her father and said hire him. She is saying that she likes to marry her. The logical way that this would work is the marriage. That was her secret way of saying that. She did not stop there. ✔14) She said the best kind of person you can hire (want to marry) is the one who is strong and trustworthy. Strong does not mean muscular, strong means he was not like other men when they were dealing with women, and strong means he was able to take responsibility and fix something wrong and intervene (not just coward). Strong means he is capable of working and make a living (not something spoiled). ✒a. When Musa AS was royal, he used to skip the house in the afternoon and help them. He had work ethic in him. ✒b. He was not obsessed with himself, not like kids of this generation. ✒c. Strength means using the gift Allah gave him, not just obsessed with himself. ✔15) Not just think about entertaining yourself, use your strength in your favor. You should be clear about what you want even before puberty. ✔16) Not giving hard life to your kids is destroying those kids. When these kid do not get what they want, they start whining. They are not men, they are children. ✔17) Men can marry, not just children. When you have those qualities of a men, girls will find you, even if you are homeless and not looking for girls. May be, these days, something is wrong with the men.

Omg, this is so profound! This lecture is not just helpful for men but also for women in some way. If this is what being a real man is then we have a scarcity of these Real men.

I have a Question, which has been bothering me for years.. Plz Admin : Convey this to Brother, Nouman Ali Khan if it's possible. My question regards to Fathers of this Era.. But before I start to ask, let me write this first; In the following, I am emphasizing over the role of dads But it doesn't mean that I am denying the role of mothers...... Indeed Mothers carry a Huge responsibility of raising Generations as well.... As Napoleon said, "Give me good mothers and I shall give you a great nation!" So the question is: The qualities of Qawwam in teenages mentioned in lecture,... This is exactly what I've been observing in this era and trying to get to its solution.... I've really been worried of our youth especially young boys being a mother of a boy... And whenever I discuss with other moms in the community, most of them have pretty much same complains that it's most of the times Are "Dads" who provide them Luxuries and buy devices to play (without the permission of mothers)... And on top of that have no vigelience over that or having No schedules for using them..... Plz No offense to Brothers or Men, I am not saying that All Men are like that, .... But I have observed most of the women in my community are raising their kids very well Alhumdolillah and are so concern about their Islamic teachings as well beside Worldly education ... But unfortunately I hardly see this obsession in today's dads(who are Not mature as Men should be)... How We as Mothers can fix this issue??? I am also Claiming that mothers are Not perfect either But Those who are trying their best, are still Not able to raise Teens with manly qualities....As practically a Father is a role model in the life of kids(for both son & daughter), especially for a teenage Son.... In today's World especially in Desi culture, Men don't seem Mature in Vast number.... When we as Mothers of their kids (also their wives ) try to fix something in them regarding kids' Tarbiah part OR Remind them their duties as Qawwam (like How being Man of the family, their practicing over Deen can greatly be benefitting for their kids)... They often take us wrong OR make this an ego issue OR make it such a Big deal (This is Not Our(their Wives')faults if they are lacking in it but Could be the missing Ingredient during their own Tarbiah period , while their characters were developed By their parents or by Previous Generations. So in such Case, How we As Mothers play the role of giving Tarbiah with full Wisdom to our Next Generation... Ofcourse ,We can Not play all the roles, we get fatigued or tired too, it becomes Really Hard sometimes , especially living in places like North America (where Mijority are Not Muslims) and kids have Great influence of the Outside World too especially in the Teenages.
@caticselma4 жыл бұрын
Sahar Atif Sister this is such a wonderful question. It is something I do think of very much. I am not from Desi culture however there was a man in my life that I loved (and still) love very much and I could see some of what you are hinting at. I encourage the development of the same wonderful things you are saying although we were not married, no kids- but it was perceived as me wanting change for the sake of my own satisfaction but not for his own holistic betterment and for the sake of it helping him find himself with Allah. It is a trying time sister. I feel I lost him because he allowed shaytaan to grip on him with the influence of his social circle who do much drinking of alcohol and he wed a woman who is not believer with much alcohol and haram things at their wedding reception. It is a different example but similar in terms of the effect of a man not appreciating what manhood and more importantly manhood and deen truly embody. It can be very tragic when these transformations and realizations don’t happen in men (and women) and the path they then go down on
@saharatif81704 жыл бұрын
@@caticselma Well said sister! May Allah SWT take care of you and bless you with the best in both Worlds, especially in the Hereafter ❤️💐. Yes, these are trying times. I hope Brother Nauman Ali put some light to this subject as well. May Allah SWT bless the Mijority of men with wisdom in this direction, especially the believing men. Ameen🤲

i had a change of heart back in 2014 and after that i gave up haram relationship.. i wanted to get married but proposals weren't coming and if they were, i was rejected for not being pretty according to their standard... after 3 years of remaining single in hope of marriage , i got a job and started working in an office... i developed a liking for someone but instead of approaching him directly, i kind of proposed him indirectly because i did not want to get into haram relationship... but i was rejected... so living in such a society, how can one get married? i don't blame my parents because not even a single proposal come,, and if it does, they reject on the basis of looks and not that i am ugly but because i am not exceptionally beautiful or Hoor like....and now as the time passes by, another element of being old is also added to it...and ustadh Nauman is right , after going through depression, loneliness and rejection,,, i don't desire to get married anymore.... i have given up
