Summary(Important Points) Surah Yusuf Part 3: The Best Of Al-Qasas 1. Allah reminds us that it is He that is telling the story by using "NAHNU". 2. Even the way the story is being told is taken credit for by Allah. 3. "QASSA" is not necessarily a story, it can be narration or account where the speaker takes you around step by step. 4. The speaker decides what comes first, second, and third. 5. The graphic display type of story is different from a plain account. 6. Allah is the speaker and He has put this story as the best which means that it is in competition compared to everything else. 7. To accept this, we need to understand that the purpose of every word of the Qur'an is to guide His creation, not to entertain. 8. Three ways to understand this ayah: The best of all stories. The best way to tell a story. The best of the story. 9. Everyone has a story but Allah chose the stories of those who He deemed in His wisdom that we need to know until The Day. 10. And on top of that, even from those, He selected was the best moments as they were better than all other. 11. And this is what is the best way to tell the story, every detail mentioned is for a reason. 12. The way Allah tells the story will be different from all previous scriptures. 13. No scripture before told stories like the Qur'an. 14. There is a purpose for not only mentioning the details but also concealing some, Allah is the best judge. 15. In fact, the best of the stories mentioned in the Qur'an is the story of Yusuf(AS). 16. And, top it all off, Rasoolullah(SAW) did not know the story a moment before He(SAW) got the revelation. 17. Also, this Surah came in the saddest year of Prophet(SAW). Yusuf comes from the Arabic word 'Asaf' which means sadness. 18. There are 3 dreams of Prophets that are mentioned in the Qur'an are all related amazingly. This ends the summary. Anyone who thinks I have missed some point is welcome to reply but please give the time in the lecture when Ustad Nouman Ali Khan talked about it so that I can be sure. JazakaAllah Khair

Dreams of 3 prophet's connections, just blow my mind. This also give me a new mindset for Hajj, How we all Muslim are connected with each other. This also teach me that if someone(In Family) treat me really bad and when i got chance to punish them, i will try to fulfill sunnah of my prophet and will forgive them, which seems like most difficult task in world. May Allah pak give us strength to follow sunnah of Prophet. Ameen

May Allah give you amazing reward for your efforts and increase you in knowledge, amin. You inspired me to try and analyze(not sure about the term) Quran myself. I am a convert, I'm still to learn Arabic in shaa llah. But even reading English translations, I find layers of meaning in every ayat that used to pass by me before, when I read it without taking notes. Brothers and sisters, I encourage you all to take a notebook and start taking notes on ayats of Quran, Allah will guide us in shaa llah and point at the meanings and wisdoms that we are ready for and that we need. When I started, I was cringing and thought that I can't possibly write down anything worthy, but then I wrote down 5 pages on several ayats of surat Al-Kahf and I literally couldn't stop. Subhanallah! what an experience it was, I was zoned out even after I finished, and then ran back to add some more notes! Allah is the best teacher, and His Knowledge and Wisdom has no end. When a slave takes one step, Allah take 2 steps towards him. Brothers and sisters, take 1 note and in shaa llaah Allah will inspire you to 2 more and then more and then more in shaa llah, and it will be personally customized for you! Because He knows the best what we are in need of. May Allah grant Ustadh the highest gardens of jannat and may Allah preserve the knowledge he is sharing through the generations, and may Allah help us all to get closer to Allah through His Quran, ameen.

The people I went to for tafseer class as a kid should listen to this too. I became an atheist (almost) a few years ago. And I'm so so so glad Allah gave me the opportunity to listen to this series. Three dreams are connected 1. Eleven stars, sun and moon prostrating to Yusuf a.s. 2. Ibrahim a.s slaughtering his son 3. Mohammad s.a.s making hajj Mohammad s.a.s conquered mecca and has overpowered quraish and said "laa tasriba alaikumulyoum'' no harm on you people today just as Yusuf a.s said to his brothers after the dream come true and he forgive his own brothers who did harm to him.

@mujeeb3383 жыл бұрын
@@Kulf118 walikumassalaam... it is not present in the quran but in the seerath of prophet Mohammad S.A.S you can find the situation .... Abu Sufyan was the son of Harith, the uncle of the Prophet and was also his foster brother. Before the appointment of the Prophet to the prophetic mission, Abu Sufyan loved him very much but became inimical to him thereafter. Abdullah was the brother of Umme Salma and the son of 'Atika, the aunt of the Prophet and daughter of Abdul Muttalib. However, the publicity of Islam throughout the Arabian Peninsula made these two persons decide to leave Makkah and join the Muslims. While the Prophet was on his way going to conquer Makkah, they met the army of Islam at a place known as Thanyatul 'Uqab or Nabqul 'Uqab. Inspite of their persistent requests the Prophet declined to meet them. And even when Umme Salma interceded affectionately, the Prophet rejected her recommendation and said: "It is true that Abu Sufyan is my cousin, but he has annoyed me much. And the second man is the same person who made foolish requests to me7 and has been preventing others from embracing Islam". Ali, the Commander of the Faithful, who was acquainted with the temperament of the Prophet and the method of arousing his sentiments, said to the two persons: "Go and sit before the Prophet and utter the same sentence which the brothers of Joseph uttered while offering apology". While offering apology the brothers of Joseph had said: "By Allah, He has given preference to you over us and we have sinned". And Joseph on hearing these words forgave them saying: "No one will blame you this day! Allah will forgive you, and He is the Most Merciful of all those who show mercy".8 Then the Commander of the Faithful added: "If you recite the first sentence he will certainly give you a reply in the second sentence, because he is a person who is not at all willing that anyone should be more affable than him". They acted as advised by Ali and the Prophet also forgave them like Joseph. Both of them then put on the requisite dress for jihad and remained steadfast in their faith till the end of their lives. To make amends for his past Abu Sufyan recited a laudatory poem, the first verse of which is, "By your life! The day on which I carried the standard on my shoulder so that the army of Lat (an idol in Makkah) might be victorious over the army of Muhammad, I was like a perplexed night-traveller who gropes in the dark, but now is the time when I should be under the auspices of the guidance of the Prophet. www.al-islam.org/the-message-ayatullah-jafar-subhani/chapter-48-conquest-makkah General Amnesty: After dealing with Abu Sufiyan, Prophet (S.A.W.) said to the people of Makkah: "O Quraish, what do you expect from me today?" And they said, "Mercy, O Prophet of Allah. We expect nothing but good from you." After their reply, Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.) declared: " Today I will speak to you as Yusuf spoke to his brothers. I will not harm you and Allah will forgive you for He is Merciful and Loving. Go you are free." (Ref: Ibn Kathir and Ibn Al-Hajjaj Muslim) After declaring a general amnesty, the Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.) went up the Safa Hill and accepted the allegiance of the Quraish. Many years ago, he had declared his Prophet-hood there but he was rejected then. Now, he was accepting the allegiance to Islam from the same people on the same hill. www.islamicfinder.org/knowledge/islam-and-sunnah/conquest-of-makkah/
