37:20 that is very true... when I was a teenager til I reached the age of late 20s, I was the one who was very addicted to Music, if somebody asked me about the MTV top 20, or Billboard top 100, I knew the answers to those. I went to concerts to watch my favorite singers, collected the posters of BSB, Boyzone, Westlife, the famous boybandz in 90s, Britney, Christina, but now, alhamdulillah, I can't even listen to a song... Whenever my friends play music, I go out of the room because I don't like what they are playing... when they are not around and leave the computer playing youtube songs, I change it to a qur-an video clip... how did I overcome my addiction to music??? just develop the love to Allah in your heart... if we love Allah, we don't like Him to get angry to us, we develop the utmost respect to HIM, and we strive to do things that are only pleasing to Him.. I am not trying to be perfect or pious, but this is just to share my experience and learning...

These lecture illuminates light into my soul, and I pray Allah eases my affairs. At a point in my life everything was moving fast, I was one of the youngest graduate amongst my pair.. I earned my MSc at a very young age and felt at the top of my world. When i read the translation of surah Yusuf, the mere mention of concept of nafs made me research more about the surah and that finally brought me here. The entire surah is beautiful. Definitely it should br read with translation everytime when one is feeling low. May Allah bless Bayyinah and ustadh Omar Suleiman.
