The hostel was best. All possible pleasure we had. AC cooling was more than perfect enabling the best sleep in Night. With mood afresh, we opened the door at about 7 am. What a surprise? Hassling and Bustling Bazar was waiting for us. We brushed and rushed, as if we never seen a Bazar.
We bought fresh fruits. Ulka and Mugdha decided to cook rice for Dinner, so picked small quantity of rice. I spotted a Car selling Haleem ‘. I become nostalgic. My days in Saudi Arabia recalled during Ramadan days. We used to eat lot of Haleem.
What is Haleem? The Wikipedia says - Haleem is a type of stew that is widely consumed in South Asia, the Middle East and Central Asia. Although the dish varies from region to region, it optionally includes wheat or barley, meat and lentils. It is made by blending or mashing the meat in the curry and serving hot with flat breads or on its own.
It is originally an Arabic dish and was introduced to the Hyderabad State by the Chaush people during the rule of the Nizams (the former rulers of Hyderabad State). Local traditional spices helped a unique Hyderabadi haleem evolve, that became popular among the native Hyderabadis by the 20th century.
Why it was so attractive for me ? I was craving for it since I left Saudi. I tried in India, but efforts in vain. Thirdly, the price today was exceptionally low - Som 20000 kg - Rs 170 kg.
I had ‘solid’ breakfast today. Ready to embrace Bukhara. I heard a lot about it, I read lot about it.
