I love Pandit Venkatesh Kumar. He brings out the essence of each piece and each raga he takes up, very sweetly and reliably. And like someone else said, he has retained his voice and its sweetness even going past age 70. I am probably 10 years older than him and a serious Sitar hobbyist myself, and enjoy listening to him, because he does not waste his time before jumping into the heart of a raga or a bhajan. Great man, great singer, desering of National awards. Long may he live to bring out more jewels for music lovers.

Pandit Venkatesh Kumar is 70+ years young! Forget singing, many of our generation will be lucky to be alive and healthy in our 70's given the stressful (and unhealthy in many cases) life we live! With his down to earth personality, dedication to classical music and rigorous daily practice, Panditji can mesmerize anybody young or old! What a legend! May God bless him with best of health so that he will keep singing for many more years! 🙏
