14:23 The thing is Jugram was being assaulted & abused by his Uncle, so in a way the Yhwach invasion that killed his Uncle could be seen as a Blessing for him. That night could be seen as the worst thing to happen to Bazzard Black. That night could be seen as the best thing to happen to Jugram Haschwalth. So even when they were both traveling together, Jugram never really harbored hatred towards Yhwach as Bazz B did, it's easier for him to switch up.

[Thoughts]{Lotta Reading For Those Interested] - I believe the story is saying the Jugram does in fact care, as we saw in the flashback when the other General was saying he was going to teach Bazz-B a lesson, Jugram made sure to let him know that he'd be watching so he can't do it. Also he continually declined any oppurtunity to fight and even here he tried hard to avoid fighting...at one point he obviously gets upset that Bazz-B is forcing his hand and he calls him by his full name. Haschwalth is basically conflicted, He feels Bazz-B is a friend but that doesn't align with his value of worth and purpose. - Haschwalth obviously dealt with physical abuse from his Uncle, but with the scene and voices here in the anime some (including myself) believe he’s also dealing with sexual abuse. The lines “You can’t do anything without me” and how twisted the Uncle’s voice became when he said “my precious Jugo” seems to suggest as much. This reality certainly plays a role in Haschwalth's need to feel useful or wanted without circumstance. We see this gave him a semblance of joy with both Bazz-B and Yhwach, people who appreciate and want him around for who he is, people who actually appreciate his worth. - What’s interesting about Bazz-B and Hascwalth is that though Bazz-B proclaims that the revenge is for both of them, we never hear it from Hascwalth himself. It’s likely that Hascwalth actually had little issue with what happened given that he was being abused, but he was simply trying to help the only living person he cared for however he could. - As noted by Mr.Tommo, a Bleach deep-dive content maker, “Worth” is a Major theme here between these two friends, even when Bazz-B believes that Haschwalth has no worth in regards to getting revenge he still chooses to keep him by his side, but the reality remains that he doesn’t need Haschwalth, but with Yhwach’s arrival Bazz-B is made aware that the roles were actually reversed. This realization hurts Bazz-B’s pride and the way he looks at Haschwalth is the nail in the coffin, Jugram already felt he had little purpose, the only link chaining them together was the actual Friendship. The issue is that Haschwalth has a warped understanding of worth and relationships due to his abuse, for him “worth” is to be wanted and needed and a relationship must result in something being gained. Regardless,In this moment Jugram began to feel that Bazz-B no longer wanted or needed him, and here you have Yhwach offering him the exact opposite. - Sidenote: Kubo tends to make a duo with this opposing dynamic every major arc, and they always get the chance to fight. Byakuya/Renji, Ulquiorra/Grimmjow, and Haschwalth/Bazz-B - Sidenote 2: Bazz-B and Haschwalth seemed to have come from a period of time during the Middle-Ages or Medieval period. - Sidenote 3: I feel as viewers we are meant to think of worth and how people use it, how it affects the relationships beteen people, especially Yhwach and his followers or Ichigo and Uryu. They are actually one of the oldest characters in the story. This is right before the original invasion on Soul Society. Making those flashbacks right in the middle of Middle Ages (900-1000AD). Yhwach after losing his eyes due to getting sealed by Ichibe with Pernida's powers, likely decided to go to Soul Society without finished Sternritter troops (Bambieta and some of the other newer members have been just picked in last few years). He likely knew that he needs to sacrifice his own life first to get his sight back, which in the end postponed his proper invasion by 1000 years.

They’ve added and fleshed out so much this season from the manga. Pacing would be worse if they had done a 1 to 1 with the manga every episode. The cuts and restructuring has been great in my opinion. Now This episode was 1 to 1 basically though. It’s a great little mini arc in the manga.

would have been a closer fight if this fight was fair, Bazz would prolly still lose but he certainly would have done way way better if he didnt get heavily injured and had lost his vollstandig from the auswahlen. Jugram was stronger than normally too here since he was getting buffed by the auswahlen, he still had the schrift in his pockets tho

I think Jugo still would be too much one thing about Jugo as seen with a few quincies like Gerald they are very physical type fighters who don't depend on their powers or abilities also note back when squad zero was speed blitzing all of them Jugo was the only one able to react even before Auswhalen while the rest got taken down showing that physically Jugo is above alot of the sternitters by miles with the exception of Uryu and Yuha the two As

@ i mean Uryu got carried heavily by his schrift, he wasn’t as durable and didn’t have more endurance than Bazz. Uryu got literally cooked and couldn’t get up. His schrift transferred the dmg Jugram did to him back and it went on like that. Bazz would lose but Bazz did handle True bankai Renji and shikai Rukia together

@HitmanSkipuryu only used his schrift once in the fight. He was getting cooked fighting an almighty holding jugram who knows all of his moves before he makes them. You are clearly being biased here. Jugram only used his sword fighting bazz b and nothing more. edit: "Bazz did handle True bankai Renji and shikai Rukia together" when did that ever happen?

Bleach fights have never been long. The original anime added a lot of filler in fight scenes I guess people got used to multi-episodes fights. The longest fights in the manga are probably Ichigo battles and even those never lasted as long as its anime counterparts
