Thank you. There are lots of "Tauern"-Videos here, but only few about that interesting Line. Found some interesting spots for my virtual "Tauern & Drautal" scenery...

There are no direct trains from Spittal to Innsbruck any more, but a bus instead. The train is just too slow, with two loco changes at Innichen and Brenner. Instead of getting some more two-system locos the railway company axed the trains. :-(

The problem is that demand was declining for that relation. Quite different to 1996, today there are enough two-system locomotives, cf. the EC's from Munich to Verona run by DB and ÖBB only with no loco change. FS has given up to serve passenger traffic on this line.

Now there is a one-train-per-hour-connection from Lienz to Franzensfeste, with connections to Innsbruck. It is still slower than the corridor train. The connections from East Tyrol to South Tyrol are much better now, but not the connection to Innsbruck.
