Hi, PLEASE answer, I am new into this and already have the AC digital rail set, how did you make the ROCO 73499 work on your layout? I can't seem to find any AC ROCO 1216 CD for sale on Ebay nor a shop in the UK.

@@TheNamelessCity You are a legend mate! Thank you! I promise I started 2 weeks with same hobby just because I saw your videos and I fell in love with these trains! I am trying to imitate your setup (on a slightly lower budged) as I think this is the perfect setup! The CD in AC is absolutely unavailable anywhere, I have 2 weeks hunting for it. I've seen your blog and the mods are way too difficult for me atm as I just started. The only solution I had in mind is to buy any Roco 1216 AC and then to buy another Roco 1216 DC CD Railjet and swap body. Very expensive but I need one! And I'm an old DOG (39).Thanks mate again, POST MORE VIDEOS please, I love them! Regards from the UK.

Nice Video! I also have all 3 Railjet's from Roco. I'm waiting for the new CD Railjet, than i replace the casing, plus the interior from the driving trailer! In real, the driving trailer from the CD Railjet is similar to the ÖBB Railjet, sets 52-60.

First one is Roco 74116, Rh 1216 locomotive is the "Spirit of Venezia" Railjet. Second one is Rh 1116 locomotive, that is the Austrian domestic Railjet.

2:34 Did you change the sound file to get the step sound? Mine sounds like the one at 1:33.

I haven't changed the sound file. Both locomotives are different. 1:33 is the Rh1216 (ES64U4), 2:34 is the Rh1116 (ES64U2).

How did you make them compatible to run on Marklin because they have a stud on the track sleepers. Speaking of the Railjet ÖBB 1216 Marklin you could have simply brought a regular one then painted it

These trains are AC versions. Roco has always released 2-rail and 3-rail models.
