@gracelortiz The foster mother is a truly wonderful person who loved(s) our daughter very much. We have kept in contact with her since the adoption. In Summer 2010 we returned to China and met with her. Seeing her again was amazing for all of us. She was so excited to see how our daughter had grown in the last few years. We are very lucky that she is still in our lives.

We feel for the foster mom too. We have kept in contact and were able to meet with her on a return trip a few years ago. She is a wonderful woman, and a part of our daughter's life forever.

I just cried my eyes out watching the foster mom. *I* was in her shoes years ago after we fostered a little boy for several years, were told we'd be able to adopt him, and then his birth mother was released from prison and they took him from us. We are only just now starting up adoption again and we're going International to do it. Your little girl is the most beautiful child I've ever seen. You can just see how much she has grown to love all of you. Thank you for sharing and for opening up your home and heart to a baby in need. Thank you SO much.

It was good to see her finally smile. She looks like she has has a lot of hurt in her short lifetime. Oh my word! You chose THE PERFECT song to go with this video!!! I've been all for adoption since I was 8 years old and Tarzan (particularly that song) was what sparked it. My philosophy is "There's a child out there who wants a family and there's a family here who wants a child. Why not adopt?"

The foster mother is a wonderful woman who had to give up the baby because that was her job. What this video does not show is that we have kept in contact with the foster mother and even got to see her again almost four years later. We spent some wonderful time with each other, and she got to see how we have been raising our daughter. She is an amazing woman who holds a very special place in my heart.

you got it wrong. The foster mother works for the government, her job is to take care these children until they are adopted. The birth mother, in most of the cases, choose to give up their child. God bless these children and their forever family

I hate that they took her fingers away and made her use a pacifier. Her fingers gave her the most comfort.

Tari Stoeckelmann, we actually never forced the pacifier on her. She was allowed to use both the pacifier and her fingers. She often chose the pacifier when she was calm or happy, and chose to suck on her fingers when she needed that comfort. We noticed she stopped using her fingers after about seven months.

@@bbanshe It's a lot easier to take her pacifier away when she got a bit older using her fingers or thumb could be a long time habit and ruins the shape of the teeth.. Its awful to see these babies being abandoned at orphanages or elsewhere. The biological parents have these children and give them up because they don't want them. They should be taught sex education and contraception to prevent all these babies being left for adoption
