Imagine being at school or in a hospital during this. People just start leaving and not caring about eachother. No security guards or doctors. Just sheer panic and the students/patients are stuck inside worrying about their families and knowing that they all have so little time to live. What’s really scary about this is imagining what the world would look like if this was real. Rioting and the apocalypse in pure darkness. The only people you can maybe trust is your family and close friends. If you were out and about before the announcement, you were probably being chased or killed by a neighboring dog or bird. Everyone at home is surrounded by darkness, trying to fight off rioters, looters, and wild animals. Household pets become your worst enemy. Little Timmy has to see his beloved pet dog be killed for the sake of his survival. The government has neglected to help anyone. No one sees the point in trying to help anyone else. All your life’s hopes and dreams are gone. You simply sit and take it all in before you’re either beaten, eaten, or die a slow painful death from lack of sunlight and nutrients. Fantastic video

Are you sure we wouldn’t just adapt as a species? Wasn’t the global seed vault in Norway designed for just this purpose? Perhaps furnace heating units could be rerouted so that, as a temporary measure, single rooms could be heated the most and greenhouse environments could be used to sustain industrial farming. It would likely take longer than a month for humanity to perish from this disaster, since the sun likely won’t teleport to any remote place as if by magic, but the more likely scenario is that Earth gradually moves away from the sun like in “The Twilight Zone”.

My science teacher talked about this once and he said something along the lines of that the earth would turn to ice within 5 minutes.
