Thank you so much for your timely response with solid points. His Holiness the Dalai Lama is the only leader is the world who practically given biggest women’s rights such as giving chance of Geshema highest level of Buddhist studies. He is the only leader who firmly stands by Muslim when western called so call Islamic terrorist. His Holiness has never even used the terms like good looking, beautiful, sexy nor even physically attractive. The term attractive that His Holiness used can mean attractive with love, compassion, positive additude, good morality, knowledge, wisdom, intelligence, integrity and sincerity that he has been preaching for His entire life. His Holiness never even said he does not want his successor ugly or anything like that. So it is absolutely necessary that we understand the very motive behind his comments .

Tibetan feminist who criticized the HHDL possesses only bookish knowledge, not common sense. For 60 years HHDL has done so much upliftment of Tibetan refugees and especially women. He constantly speaks the importance of women taking the leadership role in all aspect of lives.

We strongly disagree and protest the Tibetan Feminist Collective for putting up the post calling His Holiness the Dalai Lama ‘irresponsible and accusing Him of feeding “xenophobia”. The post is now deleted after they received large scale criticisms. It’s deeply saddening that His Holiness’ life-long hard work and actions for the upliftment of women folks are overshadowed by a simple humorous comment that got lost in translation. This group, Tibetan feminist collective is run by just a few Tibetan women who can never represent the wider majority of Tibetan women. As a matter of fact, these Tibetan faminists should thank His Holiness for the platform from where, paradoxically, they are aiming their guns at him. Here we are reminded of the dictum, little knowledge is dangerous, because these women completely forgot their roots and are drunk with the little western knowledge that they so pathetically boasts of having. News media today survives on hype, and sensationalism and BBC, which started the current controversy is no different. It’s target of western audience got totally lost in understanding His Holiness’ comment. But Tibetan people do not have the luxury of hiding behind the veil of misunderstanding because there is no linguistic and cultural barriers between them and His Holiness. What, in this case, the TFC has written is totally out of ignorance and shameless disregard for His Holiness kindness. This is what happens when you have these Tibetans getting news from English Social media instead of hearing exactly what HH said. Its become fashionable for them to listen to news in English and go on about things they don't understand. To a question asked by a western journalist long time ago, HH said that the next Dalai could be a woman and (as HH often does) - joked that a Woman Dalai lama could be prettier and better looking than himself! for sensationalism, this BBC journalist asked HH if he believed that Better looking would be more successful. His Holiness embodies and symbolizes compassion but HH does not lie and make politically correct statement and it is a fact that better looking people have more success than others. And all these do-gooders and chinese communists supports are all up in arms against for a simple statement! HH has done more for women's cause than all these pretenders (tibetans and non-tibetans) combined! Please go to twitter to re-act to Kim Kardishians' tweet or whatever if you have nothing else to do. HH has more important things to do to look after 6 Million people Tibetans other Human beings well being!
