One of the biggest thumbs up I've ever given. So much hard work has gone into this and it's indistinguishable from the original.

Amazing. I did manage to spot one difference, which is that, in the original, the numbers whizzing across the screen would alternate between the number "24" and the actual number of seconds, whereas in the remake 24 only appears when there're 24 seconds left.
@denelson838 жыл бұрын
Actually, what I saw in the original was some of those numbers in the background counting up to 24, incrementing by one per frame, while others followed the countdown.
@eIucidate8 жыл бұрын
I've only just realised that those frame numbers are in the video. I haven't been looking close enough - hence my original comment.
@maxinedominiqueoropel11813 жыл бұрын
The frame numbers that count up to 24 are present in this recreation, just that their brightness is adjusted to not make them too obvious to viewing by an unsuspecting eye. The counting numbers appear more translucent here compared to the original, with the main countdown numbers being the focus here, of course. Also, as for the two globes not stopping around West Europe and Africa, when the music stops, East Asia and the Pacific are shown on both globes. Turns out the speed of the globes here is slightly faster than the speed in the original.
@Monkey8322 жыл бұрын
@@maxinedominiqueoropel1181 A difference I’ve noticed is that the counting numbers are counting DOWN from 24 to 00 each second, while in the original they counted UP to 24 and paused for a split second
@theebloxinator2 жыл бұрын
I never saw the difference so someone will have to give context. Here are the differences: Higher Quality. The big numbers are brighter. Also, a few numbers are counting up from 24-Zero every second rapidly. BBC NEWS 24 text in the globe. Also, even more whizzing numbers.

That beat at 0:52 has a reggaeton feel, I like it too. The 2013 countdown has a string motif at that very same measure you pointed out. Unfortunately, the reggaeton beat is not so heavily emphasised in 2013’s countdown.
@_125bpm_11 ай бұрын
The 2003 countdown, which is adapted from the 1999 countdown, may be better. This same measure has a very funky-sounding synth in addition to the reggaeton beat in the 2003 countdown.

Why is the BPM 120.25, not 120
@AdrianColley3 жыл бұрын
I don't think it is. The numeral changes are exactly simultaneous with the KZbin video player's seconds-since-start changes. If we assume that KZbin has correct seconds, then it's easy to check that the video has correct seconds, and also easy to see that the audio is synched with the video. So it is exactly 120bpm, not 120.25.
