I remember going to the Los Angeles County Art Museum over a decade ago and meeting many of the former members of Ballet Russe at the showing of a documentary about the same.

Just wonderful for those of us who studied and were told of Diaghilev from classes and books. Can you identify the dancers too? Michael Fokine was the creator of Les Sylphide. Perhaps this needs to be brought to historical attention on this particular film? Could this have been a time when Fokine was shaping out his ballet then and Diaghilev knew there was a ballet genius that needed to be filmed with protection of rights and not loosing a piece of work to loss of production cost or in house jealousy to sabotage a great work. Further, was not a jealousy ensuing with Fokine's talent in using the corpse de ballet as a valued frame and story to following ballet as never done before?. Thank you!

“Corpse de ballet…” That’s pretty good, I’m going to have to borrow that one.
