That old Deutz is gorgeous, I'd have that anyday over the Class! I grew up learning to drive in an old Deutz Dx and I absolutely loved it. Still my favourite tractor to this day!

You touched on a subject in that conversation upon which I have strong opinions and that is the "Right to Repair" equipment that you own. Even though a computer might be required to perform some of the tasks an old fashioned diesel mechanic might do, that does not mean an independent contractor (aka mechanic) can not perform the same tasks as well as, if not better than a trained manufacturing company employee, if that training was made available to that independent contractor (another thing "manufacturing companies" tend to restrict access to these days). Do you think that manufacturing companies have the "right" to restrict access to the information and technology and training needed to maintain and repair your assets (you have purchased from them or a 3rd party)? I enjoyed the interview, especially regarding the "Farming Matters" radio topic around farming and rural communities. Even though the accents take a little bit of getting used to (but just momentarily), although you might say the same about my antipodean accent.

Well done Nicola, no bother to you. While tractor may seem complicated initially to operate, in my opinion they are ironically easier to operate than manual tractors, more user friendly and very user friendly once one gets used to them.

Claas tractors are fun to drive, How do I know that? I'm currently being taught how to drive my stepdad's tractor on his farm... and I've already handled some driving jobs on said tractor too.

Actually the CVT makes it easy to drive not that a manual box is hard to drive either, just that alot of inexperienced/and some old guys that didnt learn lol guys were slipping the clutches,know of one guy burned a clutch out buckraking in a day from that instead of selecting a gear the tractor would go up in
