Question: how do these communities sustain themselves economically? Do not tell me you can have 10 children and feed them all with a normal job and some cooperation with the neighbours (who also have 10 children!), while you spend 30% of your time praying. Numbers do not add up. Are they subsidized by the state?

It's important to note that not all Hasidic Jews live so insularly like the Satmar. Jews that are of the Chabad-Lubavitch Hasidic sect are much more open, and men and women are allowed to converse with and look at one another even if they are not married or of the same household (but making physical contact between sexes is still forbidden). Breslov Hasidim are also more open than the Satmar Hasidim that are shown in this video.

I lived most of my 30 years in Stamford Hill and they are one of the worst communities, obviously, there were great individuals but they hate and despise everybody that isn't Jewish. They make their women walk on the other side of the road, they but businesses with the intention of not hiring anyone who isn't Jewish, they want to shun the society but claim the benefits of it. They set up their own police force (of some sorts) and antagonize anyone they believe shouldn't be in the area. The funny thing is the media says nothing if it was the Muslims tabloid mania. Go there if you do not believe what i've written.
@pegelatrin6 жыл бұрын
Ive been in Stamford Hill many times, and Ive seen many Jewish Cafes and Shops hiring Non Jewish people, mostly Polish workers, but certainly they hire non Jewish people to their businesses. But it goes both ways. They have adopted this protection of their own community because many of them have relatively few employment prospects outside of their community. Not the highly skilled, but lower skilled and those with a mainly religious education generally don't have that many options to go for because of their religious customs and foreign culture.

By using common slang such as 'scum', you have demonstrated your lack of knowledge in this area. I'm a 15 year old jewish girl (16 next month) and I am completely open minded about other religions. In fact, I embrace these other religions e.g. Christianity, Catholicism, Islam, Satanism etc. and try to put myself in their perspective of life and I try to see what they believe.

Hello! by watching this video, makes me think a lot. I went to Israel in 2010, while my group and other people were walking in a narrow road I believe was the way my God walked with the cross. A man according to others people, a man had touched my upper arm while I was looking straight at the front. there were so many people. I heard some one said to me "How are you" . In a fraction of a second, I turned to see who touched me and talk to me. I didn't see no one specifically because the street was very crowded. His hand was very soft, His voice so calm and comforting. I still feel His touching to day. All people that knew me or in our group were Very-Suprise for a Jew to touch me. They saw him but I didn't. I believe it was Yeshuah. Because have been cured of cancer three times by him, Him alone. Sorry for being so long. God is great. Shalom
