Funny if you analyse these old games with an engine. Computer instantly comes up with 13…Nxd4 and black is lost due to the pin after 14. Nxd4 Bxe5. (13…b5 as played in the game is also better for black but far less clear)

If those hair dressers, barbers and hair stylists from late seventies and early eighties were brought to our time by time machine, they would be charged in front of criminal court. The only thing which was worse than that was pop music of eighties. All right, the politics (Reagan and Thatcher) was even worse. I remember Gligorić said in 1983. when had beaten Smyslov as black that "finally overcame crysis and now better understands movements in modern chess..." The development "of modern chess" since these TV leagues took such direction, that even hair style would fit better today then Indian structures, now frawn upon.
