Excellent work by BBC. Special thanks to CBC for this telecast. Real Shirdi Wale Sai Baba (Sai Baba who belonged to Shirdi, Maharashtra) was a real saint/Swami but he never declared himself to be Avatar. Never met or visited Sai Temple, still, Shirdi Sai Baba has special place in my spiritual journey. But Satya Sai Baba is just a magician. He himself declared himself as rebirth of Shirdi Sai Baba which is not spiritually/morally/ethically correct.

I have Gaydar and I do support the LGBT community 100% but I am also 100% opposed to sexual assault; especially of minors. I've been looking into Sri Sathya Sai Baba recently and he seemed like such a Holy man but I never thought he was god. But then a few weeks later I came across these videos like this one talking about the sex abuse scandal. I did buy a used book of Sathya Sai Baba but I know now that I won't be holding onto it. To me that is very inconsistent that someone who is supposed to be the most Holy man in India is being accused of sexual assault of minors. This is definity something that can't be overlooked. I will still look towards India for Spirituality but it won't be through Sri Sathya Sai Baba. I'll also no longer be supporting Hard Rock Hotel and Casino after the owners poor response on the sex abuse allegations. Saying that he felt there was some truth to it but it still didn't shake up his faith in Sai Baba. That to me is rather troubling

Saw this documentary years ago and suddenly this video posted 4 years ago showed up again. Thought it’s kind of funny how people are still raging about it 16 years later and even commenting on this 4 year old video to this very day. I used to see Sai Baba perform darshana each day when I stayed at his ashram at Whitefield. He even took a letter from y hand. I thought it was a great. I saw him arrive in a convoy of Mercedes Benz sedans. While it may be true he performed tricks to deceive his followers, and even may have sexually assaulted a few, you have to consider the entirety of his work. Undeniably, he helped millions with his hospital, water and other charitable projects. To this day they are saving lives. He encouraged millions to become Vegetarian and see out their higher selves. That is his legacy.
