You can see the driver is being very cautious with someone else pride and joy. Very respectful of the value the car obviously has. But still gives it stick where he feels safe to do so. Well done boys.

You know i’ve never understood the 6R4 thing, yes it looks cool but it was a complete failure. It was woefully underpowered, had no turbo and never ever stood a chance against the likes of Audi, Lancia or the mighty 205. The Metro was in reality a shopping car made to look good and that’s about it.
@AutoplasMetro6R4V62 жыл бұрын
Yep, you've never understood it you're right.. it only had 1 year at the top level and yes it was under developed due to the lack of time so it's best result in a WRC round was 3rd. But it won 5 National championships across Europe in 1986 so it certainly wasn't what you would call a failure. The 6R4 was in the same position as the RS200, would you count that as a failure too aswell? That was another late and underdeveloped car.... 1987 and 1988 would have been a different story if Group B wasn't banned, but no one saw that coming when they were developing cars.
@SharonD3692 жыл бұрын
@@AutoplasMetro6R4V6 Dude the RS200 was on another level you can’t even compare the two, developing a non turbo group b car was a mistake from the start we all know that. And as for taking on the 205 it would of never stood a chance. Damn good rally cross car that’s for sure but group b …. Got to be honest here they was pi**ing in the wind with the 6R4.
@AutoplasMetro6R4V62 жыл бұрын
@@SharonD369 amazing that you spend your time coming to a 6R4 channel to watch videos just to tell us all how crap they and the RS200 is better… and the 6R4 ‘never stood a chance’ apart from when it got 3rd in the 1985 RAC it’s WRC debut - The exact same as the RS200’s best result!!! Anyway here’s the write up on RS200’s from Group B Shrine website “The iconic RS200 was conceived sporting very high F1-derived technology but its best WRC result was a 3rd place in its inaugural event in the 1986 Sweden Rally. Critics of the car often state that the design of the RS200 failed to exploit the lax Group B rules to the maximum. This criticism came from the fact that, since the RS200 didn’t have to emulate an actual road going model, it could have been made even more purposeful. However, some insiders claim that the car had a potential greater than any of its competitors if enough development had been put in. Admittedly, even the RS200 detractors admit that it never truly had the time to shine since it began competing during the last year of Group B (1986) while not far different from the actual homologation model and was rather competitive when it did not break down.”
