It is. Ron delivered it when the songs for the album already were settled, but the rest of the guys liked it so much it ended up on the album. (Told in an interview, "Franz Ferdinand Sparks interview FaceCulture (part2)" 12.30 minutes in)

I loved Sparks back in the '80s and was very thrilled when Franz Ferdinand issued their first album. I must confess FF's latest works didn't impress me that much, but Sparks have brought new life to their music. Good job! Fantastic voices. If you're too young to know the Sparks, please check "This Town ain't Big Enough for the Both of us".

It's a couple of years since you wrote your comment, but anyway. If you (or anyone else!) check Sparks' songs, like 'Good Morning', 'Pulling rabbits out of a hat', 'She's beautiful (So what?)' (only a demo, but you can find it here on KZbin), I married myself ' (can be both about a negative experience, or literally 😊), the very early' Slowboat', the wonderfully scaring 'Here in heaven', 'Equator', 'Tearing the place apart' (is really covering a terrible break up), I've never been high', 'Likeable' has a double meaning of the same sort as 'I married myself' and if you want to listen to what Russell's voice can do..., listen to Sparks' version of Beck's 'Why did you make me care' 💔😭💔😩💔😢💔😭💖💖💖💖💖❤️❤️❤️ Sparks have always made songs from "the little ordinary guy's", almost beneath "Average Joe's", perspective. As you pointed out, both brothers were in their own ways, as different then as now, very attractive (HOT) from their start in the sixties-seventies and (believe it or not) still have admirers! I doubt they had difficulties to get girls, but as it can be to every one of us, not always "the right one" is the one knocking on your door, so to speak.

DumDum, they're far from that need (2019) and now at age 70 and 73 in MUCH better shape than 50 years old people I know. Only that little detail that Russell, after 1 hour and 40 minutes singing, running and bouncing isn't panting at all while talking to the audience is remarkable (talking about June in Stockholm, Sweden 2018, on video on KZbin). How are, and will we be, at that age?? If any band has an overwhelming creativity and eyes and ears for new sounds and new ways, it's them. It's a year and a half since "Hippopotamus" was released now, and that went pretty well... 😉 💖
