I went to a funeral in first grade and my teacher wanted to make feel better when I came back to school, so she got everyone in the class to write a message on a coloured piece of paper. My favourite card was this girl who wrote "dear Heidi, sorry your grandpa died. Today we saw a fire truck!!" And then she had drawn a picture of stick figure her holding a fire truck hose.

Anyone else noticed that Richard doesn't laugh at any point during this clip (unlike the comedic giants sat next to him)? Each of the kid's letter's get a brief smile of approval and no more. Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever seen him laugh. Is he so much of a wit that he's hard to humour, or is chuckling out loud just not his thing?

It's just that the deadpan mannerism is his thing. He does find it funny, it's just that he chooses not to laugh because it's part of his character. I also believe he's not the type to laugh out loud, anyways. I mean, the way he's smiling faintly, I think that's the best he can do. That's like his lol face.
